The high points were really high and the low points were really low.

Skyward Sword on the other hand was a disappointment all around. I distinctly remember the point that I had the whole map unlocked and going "what, is that all?" BotW basically fixed everything that I didn't like about SS.

I like the theory that since he skipped puberty and went straight to adulthood and got thrust into a world of magic attacks and terrifying enemies, that the weird feeling he gets from females would seem like a magic attack and women in general would terrify him. When the game says "you could get used to this!" it isn't referring to the faceful of freckled funbags, it's referring to the simple act of being hugged. Link isn't adverse to physical affection, he just isn't used to it. His mother died when he was a baby, he grew up in a forest of eternal children, who ostracized him for not having a fairy, then he was thrust into adventure and the only physical contact he got was from the people trying to murder him. Which explains his perpetual deadpan expression, too, the poor bastard is numb from trauma.

Dunno about an absolute favorite, but I like Death Mountain Theme from OoT, Temple of Time Gregorian chant, and unironically Kakariko Village theme from BoTW. I legitimately think the music in BoTW was very well-handled, and, despite the griping about this very topic by contrarians on this board, there are many themes from that game that I still whistle to myself on a regular basis, but those aren't even the best part of BotW's musical landscape.

Since I haven't completed Ganon's Castle yet I'm not going to consider that in the equation, but overall I think the dungeons are great. This was one of the weak points in BotW in my opinion, only Vah Naboris was good in BotW, whereas OoT has a lot of great ones.
From the child dungeons I think I like the Deku Tree the most and Jabu Jabu the least, but I think Jabu Jabu has the best child dungeon boss.
From the Adult dungeons I really like the Forest Temple a lot because of its visuals and in general memorable atmosphere. The twisting hallway was nice and Phantom Ganon is a great boss. The fire temple, spirit temple and shadow temple were all quite great. I don't really like the boss in the fire temple, I find it to be a bit easy and in many ways it reminds me of King Dodongo, very one-note. Bongo Bongo was cool as fuck and Twinrova, while easy, was still an enjoyable boss. I do not like the water temple because the iron boots are not on the c-stick. This fucks everything up and makes it a complete slog to get through, even though the puzzles are good. I think if the boots were on the c-stick I would enjoy it a whole ton. The boss is fucking garbage though, no amount of iron boots on the c-stick will fix that.
The music is amazing and extremely memorable. My favorite tracks are the Deku Tree, Forest Temple, Title theme and a bunch of the Ocarina songs are real nice as well. I really like the Ocarina mechanic and I want to see Link in BotW get an instrument like a lute or a flute to solve some puzzles or play around with. Atmosphere was surprisingly dark. I'm new to Nintendo, just got into their games this year, and you always see the "Nintendo are just kids game" and I really had to question that after the time travel and seeing Hyrule Castle town and especially in the fucking well with the straight up horror game monsters and level-design with blood on the walls and torture instruments everywhere. That white ghost thing is fucked up.

Never saw the appeal of the pre-OoT games. Nobody I knew played the original Zelda because it was just cryptic bullshit. I borrowed Past and beat it but compared to what else was on the SNES it was pretty fucking mediocre.
