Original translator ran into a memory problem, managed to fix most of it but had issues in some areas. He released the uncompiled unfixed stuff online to see if someone else can solve it.
Another guy saw the uncompiled code, compiled it and released it then called it a day.
Original translator guy is furious while the other guy is oblivious on why he pissed original guy off.

it's not that hard and you learn it while playing games after you get the basics down
there's enough games out there for you to play even with less than perfect japanese knowledge, just hit up that anki and make the effort to read every day, you'll get a decent vocab out of that eventually
the translation scene is too autistic and honestly translations might as well be fanfiction by default
