Nope, but that other user has missed items in the dmm version cause those events have ended but the steam version is new and is doing the event in order as they came out. So for example: if you missed the valentines day stuff from 2018 on dmm, steam had it available for it's first valentines event, while dmm is now on their second valentines day event with new items.

DoAX and DoA are separate. DoA6 just came out this year with the same system as DoA5 where you can play for free and buy separate character or just the whole deal for $60.

If you've played Kasumi a lot Marie should come to you fairly naturally with a little play.
Most of my play with Marie who I'm good with is purely from things I do with Kasumi, approaches and such.
That being said Marie is pretty shit vs other characters. I think most people disagree, but I think Honoka is weaker than her at the very least.
Beyond that though you need to try and be tactful with Marie, its not like with Kasumi where you can try lashing out more.

With blender yeah you download a fully nude model usually, then you download clothing models, then you hope and pray that you don't need to edit the clothing much to fit on the girl, then you edit the clothing model slightly to fit on the girl, then you actually place it on her and tie it to her skeleton. Blender takes way more effort than honey select as a poser, but the output is vastly superior.

It's more or less the same, though the holiday events are of course out of order. The touching feature was patched in a week or two after it came out, so both versions are completely the same besides the amount of content. If you're just starting out, Steam is definitely the way to go. I can't imagine starting out at level one with all the DMM whales and waiting for whenever they decide to rotate the old event suits back into the gacha pool.

The difference you'll notice at first is superior lighting, since with blender you have to render the whole scene which can take hours depending on your hardware/render settings. This was my first and only completed blender project, it's shit but might give you an idea of the difference.

DOA5 vanilla was a mess that needed 2 subsequent versions to address balance issues. I'm sure when we get the inevitable DOA6 Ultimate and DOA6 Last Round, there will be similar tweaks and improvements. I'm not touching that game until those fixes are implemented. An added bonus will be most of the shit you have to patch in (intro/win poses ffs?) or buy as dlc will come included, and they'll just add more and more dlc from that point on.

Yeah most of that will never happen. Even big fighting games like SFV and MK11 don't launch with that many characters. DoA6 already fixed the unlock system as well so you get stuff for who you play with. More challenges would be nice but you know that the lewd costumes will be paid DLC. Individual stories fuck yeah that needs to come back. The season pass style of DLC is really popular so I could them staying with that but doing it less retarded this time. Maybe like a character pass for $30 with 5 characters, 2 stages, and 2 costumes per character then a separate group of DLC for costumes per character in addition to being able to buy it all separately from the start. I definitely think DoA6 looks a lot better than 5, DoA5 always looked washed out to me. And DoA is pretty much just RPS, not sure how you could change that without fundamentally changing the way the systems work. Maybe better movement options? I think more importantly we need to wait and see what DoA6U and LR end up being like, vanilla DoA5 was also quite barebones.
But I honestly think the franchise is dead aside from VV. It doesn't fit into the modern fighting game world and porn is too easily accessible for the Xtreme games to be that popular.

I really doubt that, they're only cheap cause they get to reuse stuff from the fighting game. Marie Rose is a relatively easy character to use, and has a defensive and technical fighting style. She is a hold specialist on par with Leifang, with expert holds and several special moves to go along with her regular holds that enable her to counter any type of strike. Her "Rondo" special move parries high and mid-punches, similar to Leifang's Unshu and can be entered from various combos. Likewise, her "Minuet" special move evades low strikes. She can also do a forward roll ("Flower Wheel") from which she can deliver strikes or offensive holds, or evade high attacks.
She has very good combo potential, juggling the opponent with relative ease, even heavier set characters like Bass. Unfortunately, she does little damage, and her fairly weak throws leave much to be desired. She can also be juggled higher and longer because of her tiny stature. She can start very long combos, but she isn't very fast, and due to her somewhat slow kicks and single strikes, a faster opponent can quickly intercept her blows and interrupt her. She's also a perfect target to perform holds on, as her slower moves are easily predictable, examples being some of low mix ups and her longer more telegraphed attacks.
