British voice acting is way better than American voice acting in games that have a fantasy or medieval setting. American accents didn't exist in the past. This might be irrelevant if it's a fantasy game but since most fantasy games use medieval or historical-ish settings, American accents just do not fit. The worst is when an American does the voice acting for a noble, aristocratic character. American accents are derived from English farmer/peasant accents. It is cringe. If you talk like a peasant and are cast as a noble you are miscast. It's that simple. It's a real breath of fresh air to see developers finally realise this and cast Brits.

This is one of the problems with dubs honestly. Lines/dialogue that sounds fine in one language, can sound retarded in another. This problem rears its head more the bigger the cultural/language gap, which is why so many dubs from Japanese to English AND English to Japanese need a lot of work to at least be passable.

for example in Germany most movie dubs are fine
videogames are oftentimes horrible though because most videogame voice actors usually don't work in movies but in audio plays, so you have them not trying to sound like the characters would realistically in the plot's situation but rather trying to speak as cleanly and perfectly audible as possible

The voice actors are terrible, but their voices are fine. They keep emphasizing the wrong words and giving inappropriate emotion into the conversation (getting really angry for no reason).

I have lived in England for four years now and there are so many accents I discover new ones regularly in the surrounding area.
Half of them are incomprehensible to a foreigner. Then you have the standard chav and posh accents which I assume is what most amerimutts have in mind. Chav is barely intelligible but you wouldn't want to hear what they have to say. Posh accent/Queoueen'zz English can be infuriating too. But of all things pakis are the worst.
Most middle class people speak with perfectly fine accents (depends on region) in a rather pleasing language. But you rarely hear them in media.
