I've used G603 for 2-3 years and it's still flawless.
1 battery keeps the weight at a minimum and lasts for 2 months.
Sensor, tracking etc is perfect. No snapping.
It's Nintendium durable. Thrown mine around and it doesn't even have a visible scratch.
There's literally no excuse to use wired in 2019.

I used my desk until its surface became damaged and didn't reflect the mouse properly anymore.
Then I got an expensive razor hard pad so slick that the weight of my mouse's wire would slide it off the desk. It felt amazing at first but you lost some control over your mouse and eventually became abrasive and killed all mouse skates it came in contact with.
Now I've been using the same $3 soft pad for the past 5 years with a professional CAD mouse and I've never been happier. The precision on that thing is off the charts and I just wash my pad every now and then.

I had a zowie fk2 for like 3 1/2 years, and the sensor started getting wonky. At the same time, roccat was doing a sale on mice, and I got the kone pure for $30 instead of $80.

Its been great to me, have had no issues switching from zowie, sensor is solid, no complaints, best $30 I've ever spent desu.

Yes, it uses the newest sensor made by Logitech, meaning the most advance sensor on the market. No angle snapping or prediction whatsoever. It does have a sort of glossy coating on the very top section of the mouse though so keep that in mind.

The top coat will be slightly different as will the side grips' feel, but nothing will be closer to the old MX518. If you want to experiment and stray further from the MX518 type shape then I'd recommend the Intellimouse Pro, but if you want to stay with what's familiar then the MX518 Legendary is definitely your option.

It uses HERO 16K sensor, which has no archaic features like angle snapping - it's the newest Logitech proprietary sensor
