Unironically yes. I don't personally mind the microtransactions, assuming the money goes toward continued support of the game, but while there is a lot I'd change about the online, I think the rest of the game makes up for it.
I especially love the roster. Never in my wildest dreams would a CTR remake come out with all of the Nitro Kart content, with new original racers being added as free dlc. It feels like a pipe dream come true.

Honestly, CTR Nitro Fueled would be my absolute favorite game. It's obvious that Beenox are just as big of Crash fans as the target audience, and they put a lot of care and thought into the game, both before and after launch. The only major gripe with the game is Activision's shady microtransaction shit, and the ripple effect that decision has for the rest of the game.

Dingo Canyon is worse than the original. The puddle section doesn't give hantime turbos from jumping anymore, and the tunnel right after is impossible to drift because the kart's giant hitboxes ensure you will always tap the wall either before the turbo pad or on the exit.

The new track is good but i haven't mastered straight drifting with anyone but speed characters so the starting stretch is a pain.

I just avoid the conveyor belt entirely. I also know there's a shortcut but haven't gone back to time trials to find out exactly where you jump to get on it. I still end up winning that track online a lot. By "shortcut" I assume you mean the second one, the first one is so obvious I discovered it accidentally while playing zoned out during Oxide time trials.

The trick to the conveyer belt is to drift along the edge of it on the right. This makes it so you avoid it entirely

Well, for people like that user, it might be a preferable alternative to playing the game for hours out of compulsion and getting burnt out irreparably. A lot of the controversy/issues could be mitigated if the pit stop just displayed everything at once so you could save for what you specifically want, no gay resets. But Activision knows the way the pit stop is set up now will probably net more money.

I get 30-50 coins a race on medium difficulty and I think it's more coins on harder difficulties. If you play adventure mode or arcade and aren't just trying to grind coins it adds up fairly quickly. I wouldn't call that non-existent, especially when load times are significantly shorter for offline races.

Obviously there shouldn't be that mechanic at all and skins should unlock for feats of skill, but this isn't a perfect world. I'm just happy online exists at all.

At the beginning of the race, right after the first USF pad, you can jump off the ramp on the right and reach a small cliff with another boost pad and a wumpa crate. Only problem is there is some weird collision issues where sometimes, you just hit an invisible wall going off of it and lose your USF/fall into a pit. It's a bit finicky so I almost always avoid it online for fear I'll get fucked over for using it.

I have Crash Team Racing OG on my PS3 and have gone back to play it during the time I wanted to take a break from Nitro Fueled, and in every single aspect I can possibly think of they share Nitro Fueled does it better. because they have no idea on how to fix the online, every race is the same: if the first player manage to get a headstart and no one hits an orb he'll be unreachable at the next turn and will spend the whole race building up wumpas and shields while the rest of the competition keep pulling at each other's face, and if an orb ever reach him despite being able to build USF in peace, he'll have half the track to find a protection.

This, people complain about the game, and they are right to, there is a lot wrong with the game, but the fact I can play one of the best kart racers and a personal favourite again on current gen hardware is worth it. It's clear there was a lot of love and care put into this game, and Beenox obviously want to please the fans. I think it's fair to say the Microtransactions are down to Activision, and I'm surprised Beenox were able to pull off Free DLC (for now at least.) As frustrating as the online is, I'm enjoying it, if only for the fact I don't steamroll every game I play, I'm a fairly high level player, and the fact I don;t win 100% of the time keeps me interested for longer imo. There is a lot to like about the remake, but there are also a lot of little things that can cause frustration like the bad hitboxes and the latency issues online, but for the most part it is on par to the original maybe even better

see because the controls and physics arent up to the old quality. doesnt stop me from having 200 hours in the online alone, but if you really think about it the content is just Nitro Kart but lesser due to removing all the fun gravity based racing and the additional tracks from the grand prixs the game doesnt add anything else. You're better off playing CNK for those tracks (look up the difference between Hyper Spaceway on both versions, it's fucking depressing what happened to it) and the original CTR for the better controls and physics. sewer Speedway is a disaster in the remake with the way that short cut is and all the tube half pipes in nitro-fueled are atroicious with how you can lose speed by being in the air floating into a wall instead of just moving as in the original.

i'm not the same as that close minded fool who wouldnt even explain why he prefered the original, but he's right to say you wont understand unless you play the original. Nitro-fueled is still worth playing though just for the new tracks and online multiplayer being stuff we havent seen before

Oxide Station is the only challenging Tropy. All the others are easy.

Ami players generally suck overall, Isabellas range from good to meh (balanced and all) and Liz is hardly ever used. Although the best Bandicute players ive seen are Lizs usually with her default or Ocelot.
