But devs don't realize this, they are too focused on their own profits to realize that the game industry, like all consumer product based industries, rely on the consumers by delivering products to said consumers. If a game dev releases a game that nobody wants to buy for whatever reason, then they shouldn't expect to be paid anyway. But devs feel like they're entitled to the money so much that they think it's okay to betray the very people they're supposed to deliver a product to. It would be like producing milk for consumers but then only selling it in a place nobody likes and then calling people entitled for wanting to buy said milk in any store they want, solely because they got paid beforehand.

You can't purchase the item with it in your inventory because you can't have it in your inventory. As soon as its sold in a shop, it gets lost. This is why you can't buy it when you are level 3 if you bought it in the first place. No way to upgrade your characters and characters cannot buy the items to upgrade themselves. In fact, these item are only sold at the very end of the game instead of the very beginning. As soon as they're sold at their value, they drop to the base price of the item and will get to your first levels much slower than you'd hope. This is, to me and I can't recall
