Replace Tiff with Adeleine and have her serve a similar role but with a more friendly interaction with Dedede. One of the worst issues with Tiff is that she has no chemistry with him and it's baffling she still lives in his castle. Maybe Adeleine could be Dedede's adopted sister, which would make for a better scuffle between Dedede's schemes and Adeleine's good nature.

Adeleine seems like a character that would be too easy going to babysit Kirby the way Tiff does. She'd probably be off doing her own thing for the most part and only shows up either when there's a special event or if she gets pulled in unwillingly by whatever mess is happening

Have Gooey and Ado take Tiff and Tuff’s place Kirby’s main companions. BWD replaces Waddle Doo but Escargoon stays. Meta Knight’s plays a role to the one he played in Kirby’s Adventure: Kirby’s rival/stealth mentor who seems to be working towards his own goals. Roughly adapt the game’s stories instead of just recycling the same “Kirby fights the monster of the week” plot for 100+ episodes. Like have an episode where Kirby and friends go through the events of the Great Cave Offensive or something.

Tiff and Tuff fucking die in a car crash

limit the main cast to only characters that have actually appeared in a game. the biggest problem with right back at ya was all the donut steel characters who existed to steal the limelight from kirby.
also, just let kirby talk. the "poyo" shit was stupid because it helped prevent kirby from being the star of his own show.
personally, i'd like to see them adapt the novel series to an anime. that way it would be closer to the actual games.

Doesn't need a reboot, but it needs to utilize the characters better.

Rick is energetic. but not very motivated. Coo is calm, dry, and wise. Kine is extremely laid-back and a bit dopey. As Kirby's best friends, they like to follow Kirby and share in life's fun as a quartet.
>Gooey
He's a bit weird and hard to understand, but he's kind and playful. Kind of like Kirby's pet and little brother at the same time.
>King Dedede
A Saturday morning cartoon villain. He either does selfish and bad things, he acts competitive and arrogant, or he tries to do something good, but handles it in a terribly lazy or destructive way. He enjoys being Kirby's rival. He hates losing, but loves having a challenge. He's not an evil guy at heart; if his home ever seems to be in danger, he'll do what he can to stop them, even if it means helping his rival. But that doesn't mean he'll be nice about it.
>Poppy
Poppy Bros Sr, now called Poppy. Eldest brother of the Poppy Bros and Dedede's personal assistant and advisor. He has a sort of Escargoon relationship with King Dedede, loyally assisting him but also having a sort of bickering relationship.
>Adeleine
A mysterious girl that travels and paint, taking in life from an artist's human perspective. She brings a feminine and tender touch to the cast, but she's also a tomboy that likes to play with the boys and help out when there's trouble.
>The Meta-Knights
Mysterious Knights that show up at unpredictable moments and do mysterious things. They act on behalf of their mysterious leader, Meta Knight
>Meta Knight
An antihero obsessed with his own power, but also with knightly chivalry. He is more powerful than Kirby. Meta Knight loses because his mask breaks, and he flees because he doesn't want anybody to see his face. When he's pushed over the edge, he loses his composure and forgoes his chivalry. All Kirby can do is flee if Meta Knight reaches that point, but you have to foil Meta Knight's entire plot to get him there.

Also, Kirby can talk, but he's not very talkative. He's a youth, not a baby.

Good post user. Love the respect towards canon and the varied personalities. The only thing that I disagree with is the addition of Poppy Bros Sr. being Dedede's right hand man. I feel like a better fit would be Bandana Dee or just keeping Escargoon.

For the villains, how about Marx being the recurring one throughout the series trying to find way to obtain supernatural power and fuck over the protagonists? Each arc would deal with the other final bosses with the finale arc involves the heroes taking out the source of the evil that poses a threat to Dreamland: Void Termina.

I get the feeling Tiff only lives in the castle to give Kirby an excuse to fuck around there.

Game Kirby would probably just break in and do whatever, but for whatever reason they made anime Kirby like a toddler with superpowers. No personality, can't speak, just sitting around babbling until the plot needs him to defeat a monster. I guess I'd want an anime reboot to make Kirby more similar to how he is in the games.

Poppy exists to pay more respect to Kirby's Dream Land. Poppy Bros Sr was the first boss and the closest to an ascended minion in the series, which is why he would have the role of advisor and helper for Dedede. I believe he's more expressive and fun than a Waddle Dee, being a very chipper "villain" and highly animated bomber.

Kirby talks in all the manga and comics and it works. Just tone down his voice, not letting it be so high and squeaky.

Poppy was actually Dedede's right-hand man in the first ongoing Kirby manga.

Ok, here's how I'd do it.
First Season: Kirby's Dream Land
>Retelling of Dream Land/Spring Breeze.
>Dedede steals everyone's food. He also steals the Sparkling Stars, which give fertility to the land/soil. Without them it is impossible to gather food
>Kirby arrives at Dream Land because a spring breeze carried him there
>Kirby goes after Dedede and his friends, defeating every single one of them and giving the food back to everyone.
Overall very simple plot. Nothing complicated. Add-in some fillers here and there, and you'd be just fine.

Second Season: Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dream Land
>Season starts with Kirby getting his own house, up on a hill. It is somewhat close to a village and one of the many castles Dedede owns.
>After his recent adventure, he realizes he can't dream. Upon asking other villagers, he discovers they weren't able to dream anything as well
>They tell him to go to the Fountain of Dreams, which powers all dreams on the planet. The Fountain of Dreams has the power to make dreams come true
>He gets there and sees Dedede swimming on the fountain. Dedede tells him that he broke the Star Rod, the power source of the fountain and that he gave the remaining pieces to his friends.
>Kirby goes around Dream Land, beating each one of Dedede's friends to retrieve the Star Rod's pieces.
>Meta Knight finally gets introduced, but not as Meta Knight yet. He has no name for now. He's just a mysterious knight with unknown intentions. He seems to help Kirby at first, by either giving him tips of where he should go or what he should do, but shows up at the end to fight him, for the last piece of the Star Rod.
>After battling Dedede, Kirby ends up freeing Nightmare. Nightmare tries to escape, so that he'll corrupt everyone on the planet with his nightmares, but Dedede throws Kirby at him. Kirby and Nightmare fight and a piece of the moon gets blown up.
>Season ends with Kirby returning the Star Rod to the Fountain of Dreams.

Just add more game characters and get rid of like 50% of the original characters. Tiff and Escargoon are mainstays, just give Tiff a better personality and maybe a friendship with Adeleine. Give Gooey a prominent role and put him in as a replacement for Tuff, acting with like a dumb, dopey yet still happy-go-lucky personality that benefits Kirby's, and have the two often close to each other. Make it so that all of the other-worldly characters have their own segments sometimes, like say Magolor, Marx, Taranza and Susie are all in the Lor or something, you could have some good moments with that. Also have Dark Matter and Zero/02 as the main villain with Dedede as sort of an antagonist, but not as much as in the anime as it was.

Simply Nichijou but with Kirby characters.
