I'd say KH2 had better gameplay than KH1 but KH1 had a better setting so they're even.

Yeah I'd agree. 2 had better combat than 1 but worse everything else.

KH2s combat in KH1s worlds is the true kino

KH2>KH3>KH1

I miss em

Flip it around

I liked KH1's combat more than KH2. KH2 was too weightless most of the time, even if Reaction Commands were a really good idea.

I love KH1 dude but the combat is not better

I like the weight it had more. Sora's heavy, sorta clumsy swings make the quick special skills way more enjoyable once you get them. I also like that the game was upfront about exactly how skills triggered (i.e. 30% chance for your combo finisher to be ripple drive, typically triggers when multiple enemies are around you) and I preferred the old MP system to KH2.

The old MP system was kino, that i agree with

Also BRING BACK GRAVITY

didn't we have this same exact thread yesterday?

>KH1 worlds
>good
not with that platforming

Why do you care

All three are bad.

Inability to platform is the first sign of a zoomer

There's literally nothing wrong with the platforming. Deep Jungle is fun as fuck too and anyone who says it's bad hasn't played KH1 in years.
KH1 Atlantica is the worst world of the series, though.

KH1 atlanta is better than KH2 Atlanta

>I preferred the old MP system to KH2.
excellent choice

KH2 Atlantica is just boring. It's certainly not good, but if you save it as long as possible it takes less than 45 minutes to speed through the whole thing.
KH1 Atlantica is a gigantic fucking slog without a single part that isn't a mass pain in the ass.

KH1 Atlantica takes like 20 minutes if you do it last

Hell yeah, brother! Kingdom Kino!

The choices in KH1 meant something

They actually change your ability order in KH2 and KH3 as well, but those games both give you a lot of your best abilities through GET BONUS at set story point anyways.

So the sword is good for nothing.

Sliding Dash is pretty fucking good to have early.

Addition strength stats is better than Magic

Magic in kh1 is based off of how many Bars of MP you have so its shit tier untill late game

Picking Staff also gets you two extra MP as well as Stun Impact early, though, both of which are pretty great.
The real issue with staff is not having guard until midgame.

The issue with staff is dealing with any boss that isnt insta rekt by magic

What went oh so wrong with the series?

I wish they'd make a game that was nothing but KH1-style Colosseum.

kind of what happened to Lost

explain.

Nomura went full retard with BBS then kept going full retard with DDD and KH3. I'm talking about story, not gameplay.

youtube.com/watch?v=8o1ieehttdA

started out solid enough but they kept making shit up as they went along

they were always making shit up as they went along.

Gameplay went to shit too
KH2FM combat was lightning in a bottle that Nomura can never recreate again

this wasn't in the good way that made sense

But CoM and Re:Coded were fantastic.

KHHHHHHHHHHHH

Remember when the Disney villains were all working together instead of Nomura's OCs doing all the work?
