Fortnite
aoe 2 age of kings
halo ce
halo 2
cod 4
that's about it
Super Metroid and Silent Hill 2 were two games I bounced off of as a kid, but absolutely adored when I revisited them as a late teen/young adult.
I'd say in general it's easier to really appreciate what certain games accomplish when you have more context to reflect on.
fuck me civ 4 has to be on that list also
cant believe i forgot it
deus ex, I got filtered by liberty island as a kid and loved the game later
the story is top notch. i can't say much for the car handling. wtf were they thinking?
car handling isnt great, but i got used to it as time went on, and yes, the storys easily the best rockstar story, next to the RDR games.
though this is recent i feel like the story is easily the best ive played ever with so many unique twists and turns that especially once the other two campaigns come out ill understand way better in the coming years.
>i can't say much for the car handling. wtf were they thinking?
they made it semi-realistic, and it's 1,000,000 times better than GTAV
>actual collision damage incl. frame deformation
>actual seatbelts
>you can actually roll cars by pulling turns at 100mph, unlike in GTAV where every car is magnetized to the ground
>cars don't have air control
>motorcycles are actually dangerous
GTAV driving was designed with people who don't actually like driving in mind
Ubisoft games. Especially after getting an engineering job. My brain is worked so hard already, just wanna zone out in some open world game like The Division 2.
The realism of RDR2 gives me hope GTAVI might at least reintroduce some of this.
Ace Combat
its like driving on ice
Why not just get into film or something if you're only going to marginally invest yourself in shit games
its like driving a car
Mega Man X5
if im doing 25 mp/h i can still take a turn without the car locking in place and going into a glue-ey drift. i really like GTA 4 but it feels like shit to drive in it, man. GTA 3d games and 5 are arcade style but feels more realistic to me.
Cause movies can't be taken in 10 minute to 10 hour doses. And there aren't enough movies I want to see that are being produced.
A lot of mid-range/AA games from 7th gen. So many studios and devs either consolidated, went out of business or went onto mobile platforms.
a car that needs all it's ball joints replaced and sway bars reattached.
Mount and Blade:Warband
Super Mario 64
Eu4 disgusts me now and I can't believe I actually bought a couple of the DLC's (piratechadded the rest)
