>What's the best starting point?
Warband

I would say Bannerlord when it comes out but from the gameplay video they just released they didn't do a damn thing to fix the combat so try Warband.

I just started playing warband campaign can anyone give me tips on raising money?

>What kind of people do you think would become fans of it?
I know exactly what kind of people enjoys warband and i can pretty much always guess if someone likes it or not based on some other favorite vidya and whatnot, but i have no idea what exactly defines a m&b kind of person. Fans of sandbox-y games with simple rules and tons of roleplaying freedom?

>What's the best starting point?
warband without mods

why dont you fuck trannies already since you love quoting a movie written by two of them

If only the political/reputation system wasn't so confusing and slow.

>What kind of people do you think would become fans of it?
Autists

loot everything from bandits and raiders even if its value is minimal
items with the most value are at the top of enemy inventorys so start from the top and take as much as you can
merchants in towns will sell specific things but they will all give you the same amount of coins for anything you sell them
choosing the blacksmith character creation option gives you a misc item that sells for a lot in any of the starting towns
put a few points into prisoner management so you can ransom bandits and raiders to the ransom guy in taverns

use this and start doing the Trade Route

ive been playing conqueror's blade, it is like a knock off of mount and blade that focuses on multiplayer pvpve

You can get a little cash from arenas as well. You can score at least 60 denars if you're decent at the combat. Even at low level.

>fix the combat
???

>Mountain Blade with coop campaign for buddying it up with niggas

PLEASE

i've been so heavily addicted to warband in the past i'm almost afraid to play bannerlord

raid and pillage
if you have enough troops (but not TOO many because then the villagers will just run) you can slaughter and burn the entire village and take every item that was in its inventory

I thought i was picking up loot but when i go to trade i have nothing to trade. And i defenitly pick up weapons from people i kill but it disapears by my next battle. Im not ssure if i have ever collected prisoners i think i kill everyone.

Nice do i need to buy good weapons first? Is the arena same as a tournament?

You have nothing to worry about

If you're going bandit, always pillage the nords because their armies are slow as shit, they'll never catch you

>almost afraid to play bannerlord
you'll need to beat the grim reaper at paper, rock, scissors before you'll get the chance to play it.

so i'll have to play the sims first? got it

To start off, killing bandits and selling their loot works wonders. From there on you'll likely want to do some work for one of the kingdoms to get enough money to figure out what else you want to do.

I am going to guess you are a MP guy.

Bannerlord will not live up to Warband's hype. With all the mods you can have all kinds of interesting new experiences with warband. Bannerlord will look bland and lame in comparison.

>redpill
>I'm a retarded sheep who needs to be spoonfed on everything

I think ive looted bandits but when i go to trade i have nothing to trade but bread

I think the function of the combat is good. The animations are always going to suffer due to that, however. Since people in reality don't attack from only four angles.

How would you "fix" the combat?

I dont know why it took me morethan a few battles but i got some loot and traded. How do i sell my prisoners?

Every single mp video they release has garbage players who can't even block a basic swing with a shield
It's a shame the clan scene is so underground they can't use decent players to promote it

You have to find a man named "Ransom Broker."
They have a chance to appear in inns around Calradia. They're common.

desu you might as well wait for bannerlord and suffer with us.

>fix the combat
Whats there to fix? Are you some singleplayer scrub that only plays with automatic block against braindead AI?

Scrap the current model and start over. The 4 angle thing is brutal. If you dig it fine I prefer it is a little more fluid.

This is how I got rich in Warband:
>Hire 20 Sarranids
>Go to a training field
>Spar until all Sarranids are mamlukes
>Order mamlukes to use blunt only
>Capture and sell prisoners
>Rinse and repeat step 4, 5, and 6 until you own a velvet enterprise in every town

What are sarranids? Ive got like a bunch of peasants. But im ganna go spar now good idea. Also is there a way to select all loot? At first i thought loot was automatic which is why i got none now im putting everything on my inventory piece by piece

I created my own kingdom which was in constant war, I literally spent all my time repelling enemies with my mighty Swadian knights

Arabs in the south.

Or train swadians, only make them into swadians knights and you're indefeatable even against bigger ennemy party.
Fight in wars for a King and loot ennemy villages and sell the stuff in big cities and get rich

My total experience with MP is joining a siege and turning a corner and 3 guys with 2 handers wearing nothing but the crusader helmets charged me.
It had the feel of a gay sex dungeon and I "NOPED" the fuck on out of MP forever.

Thanks for all the advice so far fellas. Its been a long ti.e since ive been this excited to be playing a new game. To me its like total war the rpg.

Is it better to play campaign or just free roam? What is the main difference between warband and the others. I got like 4 different ones from gog

The map im on is very small and i dont know if there are any. I dont see any place called caladria either.

Best and only starting point is warband, its everything youll ever need

Best close combat game imo. Its like learning how to aim in a shooter, but its close combat swordfight/horse lance/archery/etc instead. Even after months you find new fight mechanics and tricks

Try both sp and mp, oddly enough the community has both strong singleplayer AND multiplayer communities with tons of mods for both

Try vanilla first, see if sp or mp appeals more to you, then try mods

Have fun!

So ive got a bunch of food to make my troops happy bit every time we stop and rest one guy deserts and i only got 25 now. Id hire more but i owe this dude tax money that i used to hire people for a battle

>Redpill me on Mount and Blade?
Medieval wargame. Good combat system, open ended campaign mode.
>What kind of people do you think would become fans of it?
People who like melee combat games, People who like fiddly strategy games.
People who fantasize about rising from nothing to become a powerful warlord and conquering all who stand in your way.
>What's the best starting point?
Warband.

My usual plan is do a few missions for the guild master on the cities of the faction i plan on joining and the one that is the farthest away from them and build breweries and just like that money is no longer a problem

Why do zoomers need to be told what to think all the time?

>25-50% difficulty
>defend a castle
>1376 enemies dead, lords wounded
>2 swadian knights literally pure red wounded
>turn up difficulty
>rq immediately
