>Cross Era Heroes
>Microtransactions
>Perks
>Level ups
>Star Cards
No.

Because every time I say it Yea Forums jumps down my throat about how I'm a shill or whatever for liking a game they don't like

Is it? Been looking for something BF-esque to play.

>less content than the original vanilla BF2 which was bound by PS2 limitations but this one is "based" because it has gwafix like every other modern game

im thinking this is the case example of an actual underage ban

You are not allowed to like things
You must be angry at everything because otherwise video games will be taken away

GA is literally the worst mode with all the hero spam. Heroes ruin those games.

Everything else is okay though. Ewok hunt is surprisingly good and not just a meme. More customization would be nice, especially if it means getting pic related. I have no idea why EA always makes the absolute worst alien races the playable ones

Behold the new Star Destroyer the Onager class.
>The Onager-class Star Destroyer is a specialized platform for some of the Empire’s most dangerous weaponry. The arrival of its ominous silhouette in orbit heralds a bombardment by massive particle cannons, or, more rarely, a devastating pulse from superheavy composite beam turbolasers. Its deployment in more sensitive Imperial operations can be neither confirmed nor denied. What makes the Onager-class Star Destroyer unique among the Galactic Empire’s specialized collection of ships is its special battery armament. By using its this armament, this incredible ship can perform ignition attacks beyond long range, keeping its crew safe while still wreaking havoc on enemy forces.

>The Starhawk-class Battleship was the first capital ship commissioned by the nascent New Republic Defense Fleet after the Battle of Endor. Assembled at the Nadiri Dockyards from the salvage of captured Star Destroyers, the Concord served as the flagship for Commodore Kyrsta Agate during the capture of the infamous Kuat Drive Yards, while the Amity and the Unity joined her in time for the climactic Battle of Jakku. There, all three Starhawks bore the brunt of the battle to destroy the remnants of the Galactic Empire. As the largest ship in the Rebel fleet, the Nadiri Starhawk can stand against any opposing force, even the fearsome Super Star Destroyer.

Looks like garbage.

Heroes in general are a problem. The fact they're cross-era becomes the least of your worries when you have 4 heroes on each side (fucking 8 total) all crammed in to the same objective. It betrays everything Battlefront was meant to be about.

Microtransactions have been removed almost entirely except for cosmetic stuff and honestly, the cosmetics are terrible. The only ones you might want to unlock are some of the clone variations.

Star cards (won't defend the fact they went with "star cards" how fucking unopriginal does a dev have to be) are acquired through leveling up, and you spend skill points boosting each card. You get a skill point with every level that you use to either unlock a new card or boost one you already have. There are only one or two good ones per class. By level 30 (takes about 4 days), you'll have your best cards and by 32 youll have those best cards maxed out.

Is there instant action with AI yet? That works? And isn't just 10 players each team?

Because it took so long to get decent that we've all moved on. Personally, the fun aspects of the game were not enough to outweigh all the bullshit, and while it's a big step up from the first one, even at launch, it suffered for too long to hold my interest.
I haven't even been back to try Grievous yet, is he at least as cool as he should be?

He's okay. Like the other heroes, it's all trigger mashing + a lunge attack. He has a floor crawl that pushes people out of the way (not that great), and he does that thing where we walks forward slowly spinning his lightsabers. That's only good for the hallway objectives in Capital Supremacy (The OG mode)

The AI mode right now is just team deathmatch and starfighter deathmatch. TDM has no vehicles or anything fun. Supposedly there are plans to bring the giant assault maps to single player this month, but I wouldn't hold my breath

Because all the assmad piratefags never got to play it. But now that will change.

Sweet

It's still played by plenty of people, I'd say it's still a great time for people to jump in

Got it at a 95% discount. Better than the first but holy shit do they need an infantry only mode like they do heroes and villains

implying you don't have to grind the fuck out to get to level 30

where can i find such a discount?

>Somehow looks worse than BF2015
>balance is still shit
>no new weapons
>vehicles are still shit
>still only 20v20 servers (bots don't count)
>only mode worth playing is the "huge" capital takedown with 20v20+20 bots and the actual ship boarding is a fucking cutscene

Game is shit, DICE is shit, Battlefront is shit

You really don't. Leveling comes easy in CS and Strike and there's double XP every wednesday.

What IS a grind that you can use as a point of criticism are the kill requirements for unlocking weapons and their attachments on each class. The Officer specifically is a massive pain in the ass. Basically, the game demands that you get the finishing blow on an enemy for it to count. it wouldnt be a huge issue but due to the nature of your pistols, 70% of your fights will end with someone on your team capping somebody instead, effectively killstealing.

Want to unlock the attachments for your hard-earned gun to actually make it viable? Now you not only need to hit a kill quota, but it HAS to be with that specific weapon. No grenades, melee, or turret kills. Just that one underpowered gun starving for its upgrades.

Leveling up and getting cards isn't a grind, working toward weapons very much is.

Is it still capped at 48 players? If so hard pass.

almost every month. seriously, it goes on sale frequently, same with Titanfall 2.

It was during Christmas although I had some EA good boy points so the discount was even greater

>What IS a grind that you can use as a point of criticism are the kill requirements for unlocking weapons and their attachments on each class.
This wouldn’t be bad at all if heroes weren’t so prevalent in the main modes. Remember when at most all you could use was one hero per side in the OG Battlefront 2?
