The whole fucking point of the game is that the main character has brain damage and the one "person" who is actually an Eldritch monster looks normal but everything else looks like a Lovecraftian hellscape. It's all a backwards illusion, and he knows that, but you can still breed with Saya and doom the human race.

This is the closest to a good lovecraftian game. Shame the insight mechanic wasn't expanded on any more than the amygdala being visible earlier in the game if it gets too high.
Also feels like there could've been more done with the frenzy mechanic, rather than just dealing damage to you, basically summoning extra phantom enemies that can damage you and die in one hit to simulate a level of madness
