Metal slug was built from the ground up as a run n gun/shmup hybrid where the two styles of gameplay can change on a dime, and 1 thru 3 are the peak games that embrace this with level design, enemy placement and boss fights that switch between the two styles on a regular basis

can someone estimate how long it takes? with the next dlc character coming out in fall, then the next one coming out in winter of this year likely, the only indication of when the last one gets revealed is likely December 7th to commemorate 1 year of smash ultimate. i'm guessing this date will also be when the fourth DLC fighter will be released as well. but it would be nice to know when the fourth announcement might be. some people have said Evo, i hope they're right

Well coming from smash 4's dlc cycle, one character would be announced in the fall somewhere and the last one in december.
Evo has a very and I mean very low chance of anything showing up at all.

He's got a charging forward fire punch similar to CF's Falcon Punch in Bustah Wolf.

He's got a kicking upward shoryuken in Risingu Takuru.

He's got a lunge forward punch similar to CF's Raptor Boost.

He's got a reverse flash kick (the opposite of Guile's kick essentially) in Cracku Shooto.

He has a shoryuken that has a knockdown at the end of the rise in Powah Dunku.

He has a slide kick that can be combo'd to kick high similar to Bayonetta's Heel Slide in Fiah Kicku.

He's got a shoulder bash that could be used as a dash attack in Powah Chargu.

Plus he has an assortment of desperation/finisher moves that he can use for Final Smash.
