this game deserves WAY more attention then minecraft
This game deserves WAY more attention then minecraft
Not really, Minecraft was the pioneer while this game just used its ideas.
Actually the pioneer was Dwarf Fort but the normalfags don't know that.
i like both games
I play both autistically. Been playing mc for 7 years and I have 2.5k hours in terraria since some of the mods are pretty good
Terraria is shit though in comparison to Minecraft.
It has enough attention. I don't want normalfags ruining this game with dumb casualization
when is the new update?
is minecraft worth it to play casually? I want to play but the last time I did was in beta
I heard the world gen sucks ass now so i dont really want to spend on it
>your world post wall of flesh
Not really, but it isn't some hidden gem either. A lot of Terraria vids have millions of views, and it's in the top 5 best-selling PC games in history. We probably just don't hear about it as much because the majority of the playerbase are impoverished third-worlders or something
That reminds I wish they shoulda added terraria shit into Minecraft
Minecraft has a better feel for building and engineering, meanwhile in terraria you just build commie blocks for NPCs and then just have an MMO like progression in gear.
It is a solid game and I wish minecraft was a bit more like it in terms of cotent but minecraft is still more comfy and the mods are more interesting(in my opinion) and plentyful which is why people keep on coming back to the game
This game is so comfy, it would be perfect with a few quality of life improvements.
WHERE IS 1.4 YOU FUCK
>I don't want normalfags ruining this game
already happpened
i know a girl irl who only plays this
Yeah I like flying in the Apache in terraria.
I think terraria is one of the rare examples where there's actually a case of too much content in the game. This coming from someone who played it thoroughly pre-Hallow update. It just got so cluttered with needless shit, because the dev worshiped the quantity = quality doctrine, and lost its simplistic charm.
UPDATE FUCKING WHEN
I WANT TO PLAY
soon user, very soon
How autistic is she? Female autistics are rare, but the few who do exist are hardcore
>forgot to dig hell-o-vaters to stop crimson
The opposite, it deserves alot more criticism, then it would be perfect
I've only ever played the vanilla game, what mods would you recommend to start with?
No word yet, only that it's set to release this year
>why yes, I enjoy both minecraft and terraria, how could you tell?
>Minecraft was the pioneer
infiniminer you dumb fucking whore
I sorta agree with you, the amount of content can be overwhelming sometimes, but that just means you get a different experience with each playthrough, maybe you get Arkhalis and go melee, or you get lucky and get the slime staff and go summoner
They're both good, but Minecraft is the overall better game with better mods.
I, too, can't wait for the update that will add irrelevant flavor shit that won't be enough to warrant a new playthrough
Everyone and their mother's dog has heard of terraria. It's had plenty of exposure for what it is.
terrible hitboxes, terrible movement and it's a game that relies on both to be good to be enjoyable.
Millions of items for no fucking reason, 3 biomes and a fucktonne of bosses that all play the same.
It's shit, you're basically the equivalent of Borderlands players. Tons of "loot" for dopamine hits and that's it.
>melee
>it's so shitty, they had to make it ranged
the modding scene in mc is great though it makes me feel angrier about how much worthless/underwhelming content the vanilla game has gotten in recent updates. stuff like the ocean and village overhauls was cool for the first couple of weeks after release but all of it got stale quick. none of it addresses the watered down worldgen as a whole, caves being boring and things like pic related still existing in the game. it feels inexcusable to play singleplayer without mods imo.
dat nigga got slashed you savage cunt
love you
female autistics arent rare
they are just accepted as normal
Blame the exponential increase in damage enemies end up dealing. Armor needs to be buffed to negate a percentage on top of a base value.
>Caring about world corruption
>Clentaminator existis
the day after you die
>playing any version past 1.8
I just started playing Minecraft again, last time was during Beta.
I agree the world gen is one thing I noticed got worse, but almost everything else is better and the world gen isn't so bad that it really matters.
November, last I heard.
It doesn't because it's 2D. Zoomers hate 2D pixelshit games, which is sad, but also good. It being non zoomer friendly made this game as good as it is.
It's a revamp of all the content in the game.
modded server when?
The apache has really nice controls.
I know a bunch of zoomers who all love Terraria and play it with their friends. Terraria is very zoomer friendly cause its so cheap you can get all your friends to give it a try.
No, frankly, it doesn't.
Combat manages to be even more atrocious despite having dozens more weapons and utility items. In the name of skill and literal artificial difficulty, HP and damage of enemies has been scaled up consistently to the point that entire classes have been made pointless due to the limited viable options and the basic enemy pattern of moving their sprite onto the player's to damage them.
Sadly, this of all things is what people champion as some enjoyable experience, and even go so far as to applaud content that is locked behind difficulty levels such as improved enemy AI because 'its a reward for dealing with the increased enemy HP and damage scaling I trudged through all game and I deserve this you don't because I played the less enjoyable gamemode'.
Ironically, it is better than vanilla minecraft in terms of the sheer amount of block options for expressing your creativity albeit in a limited 2D space, but that only adds to the experience as it makes it unique from Minecraft, while enabling a similar level of freedom.
Terraria circuits lack the easy logic gates possible in Minecraft, but actuators open up many more possibilities that pistons do not address.
If Journey's End finally adds that creative mode, I would say Terraria would basically be on par with Minecraft, ignoring the tiresome survival elements.
