How do you feel about CRT filters in emulators?
How do you feel about CRT filters in emulators?
SOUL
Composite filters are gross.
Others are decent
Incredibly autistic, but I still use them for everything.
Played PC FF7 and had to turn scanlines on because it was even more painful to look at otherwise. I guess they have their place.
It looks like fucking shit
they hurt my eyes
It's fucking stupid, and that's from someone who has been gaming since the gaming dark ages and ruined his eyes from so much CRT cancer. Turn all the fucking filtering off and play the fucking game how it's supposed to look.
that's not a crt filter, that's a JPG filter
retarded reason to fuck up your eyesight
I just use scanlines, no need for more
For me, it's crt hyllian glow
Some are memes but others are amazing and look authentic
One time I posted a close up shot of a GBA screen that was running a game and pretended it was a filter. Some dumbasses said it looked like shit and nothing like the real thing.
Shit, that actually looks really good.
d-delete
retroarch can do some pretty impressive stuff
I can't stand the weird fish eye lens thing. Never in my life has an arcade machine looked like that to me.
>user could've been the second user who got tricked pretending to be the one in the right
>user could've been samefagging that whole argument
>user could be making everything up and that never actually happened
AW FUCK DUDE
That doesn't look good.
a lot of CRTs had a curve to the screen. fisheye filters to emulate it tend to go a bit overboard though
retarded, just use a CRT
