I can't agree with you on that one. While they do their fair share of shitposting, there are at least arguments that can be made for P3 being the better game. It's not like P4 where P4 is objectively the worst of the three games since it didn't do anything new at all and just slightly refined P3's format while slapping on a vastly inferior storyline. P3fags are at least somewhat justified in being disappointed with P5, but since P5 is just a strictly better P4, there's not really any way people can complain about it if they think P4 was a good game. Same goes for SMT fags. They all have their fair share of salt though, people need to just chill and enjoy every SMT game for what it is even the bad ones like P4 or SMT4

Yeah, that was my main issue with it, was that in terms of gameplay it felt like an expansion pack for 4 that required you to replay the storyline from the beginning instead of adding on to the end of it. It makes sense, but the game was definitely not meant to be played right after playing 4. I don't think I should put it on the same tier as P4 though, though I dislike both for similar reasons P4 is far more egregious about it since the new stuff it brings (story and characters) are noticably worse than its predecessor unlike 4A. Honestly Raidou 1 is probably worse, even though I love everything else about it the gameplay was so bad it's one of the only SMT games I didn't finish besides DDS but that's because my saves got nuked after nearly 100%ing the game before the final boss in it and I didn't have the fortitude to start over

P4 is decent just the dungeons are tedious and it can get boring in late summer early fall period. I loved Raidou 1 and I only just got bored of the basic combat at the end. I haven’t played Raidou 2 yet because I’m still burned out on that combat but I’m definitely looking forward to it.
Also DDS is one of the best MegaTen games ever, you should just watch the ending and then play DDS2

Mortal Kombat threads used to be fun. Then MK11 happened.
There's still events on and off the board sometimes, but not nearly enough to make up for the sheer shitspewing and garbage posted by absolute cancer. Besides that suggestion on torturing the mods until shit changes, I really do think having vidya events more often would help make this place feel less hollow.

I think it's the fault of ironic posting. It gives way, allows and accepts any and all forms of forced memery, shitposting and newfaggotry. There is no requirement for quality or effort when no matter how shitty something is, an ironic poster will keep reposting it and stroking the fire. Spam something enough, and newfags will think it to be the norm and they'll unironically post it. At that point it just surpasses the critical mass and the shit sticks to the fan.
