Earlier I complained here about getting a requester in my dms I wasted 9 hours on it and they were hardly happy. Throughout the 9 hours they were constantly telling me in a kind but esl way on how to change details I was sketching. It was one of those awful OC donut steel edits of a character. Time just dragged on and I didn't want to just say fuck it and fuck you half way though. The subject I was drawing was so cringe that I wouldn't even post it on my Pixiv, where I post futa. The body was covered in tattoos and patterns of different color so it consumed a massive amount of time
Tldr I feel raped and its my fault. Ranted here too because I'm just frustrated with myself. I normally always sink a masive amount of time in requests here and on ecchi boards, but the subject is usually worth posting publicly

As for your question, it depends. It doesn't take itself quite as serious as Pokemon or SMT since it's more of a slice of life comedy kind of thing. People tend to go in with the mindset of those other series and get disappointed when it's not like them. If you like cheap laughs or just something to de-stress getting involved can be good for you. Combat is easy enough, though you mostly play as support and the yokai sorta fight on their own based on AI you give them in the main games. They say the game 'plays itself' but that's only if you're strong enough to withstand the enemy attack. Definetly not the case for boss fights or the Blasters game. I'd recommend starting with the 3rd game for the best experience, or if you want a good story the 2nd game. If you want the best gameplay start with blasters since it's an action rpg. People often make fun of the designs for being too Japanese (especially butt face) but as someone with limited knowledge in that area I still found designs I liked quite a bit. Yeah there's some gross humor, but not all the yokai are purely gross humor.
Tldr I had fun with it when it first came out and it still offered some pretty nice challenges here and there.

That pic is true. But the thing with drawing is that every artist constantly improves; but somehow talent got a slight drop off point on improvements at higher level. There's an entire lecture about this.
Yeah it got a downside. By the end of structured learning you get excellent character drawing but you'll be shitty at background/scenery. There's also a structured method for backgrounds but you'll be shitty with lewds.
