Why is Twitch dying?

Why is Twitch dying?

Because there is a God after all?

because I don't like it

Because it's not

Why do you think that?

They selectively change and enforce their rules for and against people they deem favorable and unfavorable.

Because their biggest source of income just switched to a different platform.

You can't just say some good news without giving some evidence to back it up.

Because the platform fucking sucks.

It's a bunch of celebrity worship and trolling.

It's not.

It won't die unless a profitable, superior alternative emerges

After popular streamer Richard “Ninja” Blevins announced today that he was moving from Twitch to Microsoft’s Mixer, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos was reportedly “beyond livid” to learn that the popular streamer exists, sources at the company claim.

“Wait, ‘Ninja’ like the martial arts thing? Is that a fucking stage name or something?” Bezos reportedly asked after a lengthy presentation from Twitch executives. “What the ever living shit is Twitch? I thought we bought Twitter. You know what, fuck this. You’re fired.”

The remaining board members went on to explain the basics of the video game streaming model popularized by Twitch Interactive, which Amazon bought in 2014 for $970 million.

“So you’re telling me this guy points a camera at himself while he plays video games, and now he’s a millionaire? I literally don’t believe you. Do I look like some kind of idiot?” asked Bezos, grabbing the nearest board member by the shirt and screaming into his face. “Say it, motherfucker. I fucking dare you. Tell me I look like an absolute fucking idiot.”

Bezos reportedly calmed down after a few hours, and when asked how Amazon would respond to the Ninja move, the CEO insisted that he would “never let those Microsoft fucks win out” and that he would “get The Ninja back no matter what it takes.”

The real answer is Ninja is moving to Mixer, some other streaming platform. After nearly a decade of Twitch I wouldn't mind seeing some of the normalfags go wander over there for a bit. Maybe if we're rela lucky that will open the door for other smaller YouTubers to try using Twitch as a second source of income.

>unclear TOS
>arbitrary enforcement
>owned by shithole company
>chat in any large stream is the most concentrated form of cancer known to man

>yfw you will see the day twitchchat dies

Twitch chat and its retarded memes have probably dropped the average IQ by several points.

Friendly reminder that a dipshit who says twitch emotes aloud isn't worth having as a friend.

Twitch isn't dying dipshits. Ok they lost 1 MAJOR streamer and that's defiantly gonna take a hit, but unless more big streamers jump ship then nothing is really gonna happen

they should try a mode where it's no emotes. wonder how that would go down. i bet it would lose a ton of people so twitch won't do it. unironically twitch without emotes would kill the website

sjw shit, god riddance

this site is surprisingly more active than I thought it would be but its honestly just the same problem. Microsoft has a bigger market cap than amazon what we really need is to somehow convince normalfags to use dlive since its based on blockchain.

Thot streamers breaking TOS and not getting banned while other streamers get banned for some bullshit reasons.

because of react streamers

Even Ninja left Twitch today for good.

I've had amazon prime for over a year

Discover i get twitch prime free

Discover twitch prime gives me free games each month

After first month of knowing this

Discover twitch is dieing ...

>Lost Ninja and thus all their media coverage
>#1 streamer Tfue is in legal trouble
>Entire community in arms over Alinity
>Esports leagues are spreading to other platforms
>Banning channels for fair use without a second thought
Twitch is a PR disaster right now

It turned into a porn platform because the mods refuse to do their jobs.

Same thing that happened to Yea Forums.

Is Vinny finally gonna go back to the good old Livestream days?

Enforcement of the ToS has become way too strict. Streamers have to be really careful and that makes things less fun for the viewers. Twitch needs competition very badly to bring them back down to earth.

Ninja generates BILLIONS of dollars per year for his advertisers.

You are insanely underestimating how famous he is. Right now he is probably one of the 10 most famous people in the world.

>Entire community in arms over Alinity
You should add "Still" in there. Alinity and people like her have been symptomatic of Twitch's shit for a while.

THIS ENTIRE POST RIGHT FUCKING HERE!

That's depressing.

Is that still going on? I just checked Artifact and there's nothing there.
Hilariously, Artifact doesn't automatically populate Twitch's search bar anymore.

Honestly I'm surprised it took this long for other companies to want a piece of the streaming cookie too. Some publishers like Epic or Riot could get a streaming service off the ground just by making their games streaming exclusive on their service.

Do you think Mixer will follow the Epic tactic of buying exclusives for their platform? For example they could buy the exclusive right to host streams of a new game for maybe two weeks after its release. Something like this could be more devastating in the long run to Twitch than losing a big name streamer or two.

I wonder if people said the same thing when Actors starting pulling 6 figures.
Times change, media changes, celebrities change with it. Being upset about e-celebs being actual celebs is like being upset that Sportsball players make a gorillion dollars a game.

SJW's took over and the staff is retarded.

just go watch ninja faggot

>People will say this isn't real
Last TwitchCon really made them show their true colors. They're stereotypical SJW's, down to the fucking chunky bodies with blue hair. They fit every stereotype.

Clowns have always been part of society. First time they're some of the most influential public figures.

Also
>Actors starting pulling 6 figures
>Sportsball players make a gorillion dollars a game
Yeah both of those are pretty retarded too but not as much as clown billionnaires.

THIS.

Ninja, for better or worse, is the Michael Jordan of streamers. Meaning that if Michael Jordan had left the NBA in the 90s and gone to a new basketball league it would have killed the NBA and singlehandedly guaranteed that new basketball league's success.

This is going to be one of the most influential moments in the entire history of the internet. The "twitch era" (which, horrifying as this is to say, is probably the best name for the current era of the internet in general, gaming related or otherwise) is over. Microsoft and Ninja killed it in one fell swoop. This will transform the internet in general forever. Think of how influential video streaming has become. Well every single rule of streaming just got rewritten overnight. The effects of this move will lay the foundation for the state of the internet in the 2020s.

forsenboys

Same smell if you ask me. Complaining about one is no different than complaining about others.

Zoomer's ran out of their parents money to spend

Who is the /amouranth/ of mixer? I loved draining my balls to that married souless whore but its time to move on.

>Be 14
>Win 1.5 million dollars after tax playing vidja
I don't think zoomzoom needs his daddy's wallet anymore.

You can't just buy competitors lineup to beat them, that shit doesnt work for epic and will not work for mixer.
