After Sadpanda's death people should really be more aware that the same exact thing may one day happen to Steam. If you don't have an offline backup of the things you bought, one day they may just be gone.

From the year end financial reports nobody uses GoG.

if I have the option, yes.
Recently bought kingdom cum on it

Never bought a game from them. Never will. Already have hundreds of games on Steam. And if Steam stops working for some ungodly reason, I'll just pirate everything.

I've done that since forever because I'm not stupid.

Of all the games I bought this year only Bloodstained was available on GOG, so not really.

I do.

Whenever I can, I use GOG.

I try, I check to see if its on gog before buying it

Based

i try to but the regional pricing is worse than steam's if you're a leaf

Most of my games come from gog but I don’t buy them.

I buy all my games from GOG!!!! All my loser friends can fuck off with steam, I don't even want their studid exclusive games anyway lol xD

>a curated selection of games
Rather interesting way of saying "we have no fucking games that would interest anyone but nostalgiafags who lost their disks and are literally too stupid to pirate, and zoomers who want to pretend online that they played some classics"

if I have a choice to buy from gog, I do, if not then I wait the maximum I'm willing for it to release on gog before buying somewhere else

you know when they first started, aside from the DRM free and curation, one of their major marketing points was that they would have their games the same price regardless of region, that was dropped recently sadly.

no, I get them from good old downloads

Steam is easily crackable.

Of course. I only buy DRM-free releases.

except steam makes money and is more popular so it's extremely unlikely that we'd ever see it happen in our lifetime

Only if they're not on Steam, I'm also still waiting for these lazy GoG faggots to finally add Black and White

Use GOG and buy physical releases whenever I can

i love gog
the best installers i get in piratebay are from them
thanks

Yes and I don't use galaxy but download and archive the installers instead.
They should loosen up the game approval process, some devs complained it was quite hard, Dusk is still not on there for fuck's sake.

>comparing a shitty Chinese child porn site with a multi million dollar game client

I agree, but at the same time, something similar could have been said about gamestop a decade ago.

Reminder that GOG.com has...
>no Microsoft games
>no Japanese publishers/games (besides that GOG-exclusive Street Fighter and SNK Playmore)
>no SEGA games
>no AAA games
>missing several updates and multiplayer on a bunch of games
>no Tetris games

EA willingly delisted The Sims and The Sims 2 from Origin. I don't think they're too interested in selling old games anymore. The last time they also released anything on GOG.com was the Crysis games, and that was in 2016.

Even Activision released a game more recently than them, MissionForce: CyberStorm by Dynamix.

You forgot
>no Customers

no but i do pirate gog version of games

>coming soon

Steam no has proton making Linux play easy. Sorry gog

0,76%.

Yes, Ill be getting Cyberstorm soon

>inb4 Activision updates the game to include MTX

fuck Steam and fuck your corporate bootlicking ass

Most of my games aren't even on GOG

these are the best desu. I honestly feel like a piece of shit when I download them.

All steam games are easily played offline with an emulator, the problem is some DRM games, especially stupid jap publishers who never remove denuvo.

I don't get why Japs love DRM so much, besides Playism and SNK.

I wish I could buy more games from gog and support drm free. The reality is gog versions are not always of equal compared to their steam counterpart. And I have to run through a checklist before I choose gog. It will be something like,
>Does it has the same regional pricing as steam?
>Does it has the same features support as steam? Specifically, I'm looking for cloud save
>Are updates falling behind? Some devs just outright abandon gog support because it is simply not worth it.
>Are there any modding? Not all games uses nexus as mod hosting hub. Some less prominent games have mods only on steam workshop, especially indie titles.
Even if I suppose the scenario in which regional pricing is not an issue, sales will still makes a different and Steam often runs deeper sales. It won't matter if you buy it on release (again, assuming the same regional pricing), but I'm too busy clearing backlogs these days and seldom have the time to play newly release titles.
As much as i would like to see devs supporting drm free practice. The unfortunate reality is no one actually care enough to pay for it. The fact that their fiscal report shows a net income of less than ten thousands speaks volume.

They.re lacking in JRPGs and VNs

>BUYING videogames
only games you should buy are those with a crucial multiplayer component that you couldn't otherwise use

Stop wasting your parents money

Because of people like you we're getting more and more GaaS shit.

No I pirate. Fuck GOG, I will never make an account with them.

>no Japanese publishers/games
that's just false, though their selection is definitely not as large as steam's
>missing several updates and multiplayer on a bunch of games
this isn't gog's fault, it's shitty developers and publishers who put their game on the platform because they want more potential sales and then they can't be assed keep all releases of their games up-to-date because they're shit
>no SEGA, Microsoft, AAA and Tetris
most of that is just personal preference, it would be great to see more of these games on gog but that's just the way it is
though i'm not sure why you would want to bother with AAA when 90% of it is garbage

i can say the same in regards to how steam has many inferior or downright unplayable versions of games that are also available on gog and poor quality control (which in gog's is double-edged because their curation policies are more strict)

if you ever pirated something they sell you're liking pirating their drm free version. You should be thankful

>that's just false, though their selection is definitely not as large as steam's
Let's see. Do they have Sony Music Entertainment? No. Do they have Namco Bandai? No. Do they have Capcom? No. Do they have Konami? No. Only Square Enix and they only sell Eidos titles.
>this isn't gog's fault
I never said it was theirs. I just said that is a negative for the average consumer.
>though i'm not sure why you would want to bother with AAA when 90% of it is garbage
Nice cope.

Uh, but I am thankful? I get drm-free games from them. Just don't expect me to sign up and pay for it and we're good.
