They announced full transmog system for the Iceborne few days ago.

DPS isn't important in Behemoth, doing the mechanics right and surviving is what matters. Extremoth's DPS check phase is different, but I don't think it's that strict anyways.

DPS parse when you wipe on a Behemoth is just a feature to make it feel even more like a MMO boss.

I'm playing MHGen U, reached the high rank in the village quests and now i'm losing my lust for the game... I was pretty pumped up until now because I hoped the monsters that will show up in HR and G rank are quite different, but now that I know that ultimate didn't bring really much and that deviants aren't G rank only monsters, i'm feeling burned.

I'd like to start hoarding resources for G rank armors, but I won't see G rank for another 80 hours because I'm playing solo.

I usually do that too, but I try to have decent gear first. I need good equipment to make lobby quests shorter. I've reached Dire Miralis in 3U without playing multiplayer once and I've failed plenty of dumb quests because of the time limits. I'm not diving in the lobby shit before I have a Rarity 6 good weapon.

I'm already switching between 8 weapons and i don't want to play the rest...

i uses GS of Kulve all the time and it's easy as fuck.

It's doable as I've done it in 3U. But quests take twice as long despite fitting equipment. You better know each monster's weaknesses if you want to have sub 40 minute quests

the lance part of the weapon isn't interesting, they could have made it 10x better by having it be a straight up rifle

Only a few of their attacks actually one shot you and it’s usually very avoidable stuff. Though some circumstances are pretty rough, like getting walloped by Vaal and then dying to ticking damage right away or not being able to Farcast from Luna’a nova in time. I went through them all recently for the first time without running health boost and was mostly fine. I think the only real exception I made was for Xeno because I can’t imagine doing it without Heat Guard. Well as melee anyway.

There's only one new map in Iceborne, but it's big. Most areas were blocked off in the demo, but from what you could explore it was pretty nice, and more varied than it first looks. There's a breakable piece of ice that will send you down into a glowworm cave for example. Also the leaked trophies show that you can now level up regions, whatever that means.

How is the Iceborne balance going to work if you have already beaten all the AT fights etc? Is it going to be just walking through the plot killing easy as fuck monsters in

user, they say in game that elder dragons make the crossing to die. Hell the Rotten Vale is an ED graveyard, you can even walk inside of a Dala skeleton.

My guess is endgame Kulve/Behe is going to be on par with rank 1 MR then falls off heavily in stats, decos and everything else
Remember multi effect decos and 4 slot ones is a thing, with upgraded skill levels come IB

I believe they recently said players who have done all that stuff will have an advantage early on but they’ve made a certain monster a definitive point where you’re going to need to upgrade.

Iceborne also needs to fix its broken ass hitzones. They're waaaaaaay too high. This becomes painfully obvious if you've ever tried using lance against Diablos.

You're greatly underestimating how much damage the MR monsters do. Even if you can upgrade your Drachen/AT armor to MR levels of defense eventually, you probably won't have the streamstones to do that until later.

It's not an MMO, if you think it's too easy wear something else, or do arena.

Nearly every weapon in the game benefits from having the same set unless you're dealing fixed damage or abusing crit element.

If you plan to use a general use SnS via Barroth shield+dunk spam, then nothing changes. If you want to abuse crit element, then you want to use Rath/Starlord mix with whatever helps you get crit boost and weakness exploit. try to get Xeno'jiiva Divinity if you can as well.

Factually untrue. MHW monsters are quicker, just the removal of the 90 degree turn makes it so, not to mention the newer moves and mechanics. OG Tigrex didn't follow/trample you 4x in a row, only 3x, and now he also does an instant tail spin at the end of the trample, whereas before it was always a solo attack with an obvious tell. Same thing for Narga/Barioth with their new moves and faster speeds on this skeleton overall. Narga has more dangeorous spikes, new Odogaron-like tail backflip, Barioth has a fox-jump attack and is more dynamic with his flight/wall game.

IB monsters are less predictable, turn faster, have better aim/tracking, while maintaining the same attack speeds in their old attacks, we've already seen frame-by-frame comparisons and you can do one too at any time, it's not like it's future tech or anything like that. Download 2 youtube videos yourself and put them on any editor with frames.

Maybe, but it's more the fact that it sheathes quickly, doesn't punish lousy positioning due to big sweeps, it's not too slow, you get Mind's Eye with Spirit Blade, doesn't hamper your ability to dodge or move quickly, and Helm Splitter still gives you the enjoyment of landing big juicy hits when you see an opportunity.

It's the whole package. Every other weapon has a shorter range, or it's slower, or needs micro-managing buffs, or consumes too much stamina. Longsword requires almost no effort and you still get satisfaction.

After playing both 4U and Gen U, it's strange but I came up to the conclusion that I prefer subspecies instead of only vanilla monsters (excepting for rath, because all raths are awful excepting sakura).
I mean I love vanilla tigrex, but I also love to fight against a monster that seems really familiar but which also has a different signature move. Barroth in Gen U is strong but it isn't cool like Jade baroth.

I thought that more unique monsters would be better, but I'm not sure that's actually the case now.

His dive isn't the main worry anymore if you're not aware. It's still bad to get hit by it (or anything he does), but the most dangerous thing he can do is a backwards hop into a slam dunk. It's super fast and he can chain them one after the other.

Nah AT nergi is the easiest AT to date. I'm not joking. Once you learn that you can literally Dodge to the right without any evasion skills and take no damage from the instant dive, he's piss easy.
Also remember that nerg gains a 30% boost to his attack every roar and caps at 2x dmg.
He starts at 800%

5x Rapidfire slicing is fun though. I ran hbg for a thousand hunts and i used every weapon. Hbg was way too slow for rajang unless you're doing HAME strat.

Rajang, Blue Kut-Ku, Yian Garuga Kirin are the only small monsters in 4U's endgame, so most people don't make a set for e'm.

Most people considered Shagaru to be the hardest 140 fight in 4U. You had shitters claiming it was apex Rajang/Jho/Shagaru, people who got shit rewards claiming it was Garuga/apex Zinogre, or you had actual good players claiming it was Teostra or Rusted Kush.

Dude we are fighting monsters with like 6 - 8 moves, and it isnt like they dont choose one move or another depending on how close you are to them.
