I have a modded server that I'm trying to find a small group of people to join in on. How would I go about finding players?
Made a reddit account and made a post in mcservers, but it's been a couple days and I have zero bites at all.
The Minecraft General in /vg/ looks down on server advertising apparently.
Not quite sure where else to look.

What do you do after you've killed everything IF you're terribly uninspired? I can finish others' projects quite well, but I can't design my own.

I have nice littler server going here on a cool seed. Its a huge ocean with spawn as village on an island with a shipwreck (that I turned into a ship being built in a yard).

Join in and grab an island to build on. It's FFA with the exception of the spawn island.

I usually make worlds until the worldgen provides an interesting location near the initial spawn. Interesting as in weird formations nearby, flatlands nearby, forests nearby, mountains nearby, chasms nearby, etc. Basically, if after 5 minutes of running around I'm not thinking "This is a neato fucking seed", the level is scrapped.

I build my bases at the spawnpoint so its easy to navigate back to via F3, so I just build in any biome.

Me too, I always go dwarf mode and build into/out of mountains. I'm trying to do something different so I set up camp on a couple of small islands. I'm getting into my old habits of digging down when I need a new room and need to start building on the islands themselves but don't know what to create.
building on the north side is housing early game cow and turtle farm that I plan on moving and the shitty looking dock/harbor is on my to do list.

What else can I add to these tiny islands?

there was just a major cave i discovered on my first night journeying outside the village so i wanted to build a path from the cave to my village, its not too far out but i wanted to avoid all the scary monsters. I don't get shot by arrows up there. anyways i had to build some columns mostly cause i wanted to and thought it would be cool and when i got closer to my village i decided to build a giant arch because one of the columns was gonna get in the way of a tunnel i built. all the holes were me planning how many blocks each i needed across the whole bridge. the hardest part was figuring out how to get a good curve on my arch and hope it turned out okay
