His design is literally a generic mook with a bandana, to me, his design is charming, but to others, it’s lazy. I do think dee could be better. I wish dee had some changes in his design to differentiate himself from other dees and maybe have him use his bandana (and a pizza cutter) to attack, if he’s supposed to be a “hat goomba”, have the “hat” be involved in his moveset. Also, give him a boss fight, have him be more story relevant, and straighten out his personality. He’s still my most wanted, even if I know hal could use him better.

Sakurai's been pretty good to be faithful to a character's golden years in the recent games. Banjo's moveset is basically almost entirely exclusive to his N64 days with no sign of N&B and K. Rool takes from all of his SNES/N64 appearances, Megaman plays as if he just walked out of a Megaman game. I'm confident that Sakurai would do Paper Mario justice, at most they might add a paint-splash effect to his hammer swings.

The easy answer is Artist. Fusion abilities are nice and all, but have only had establishment in one game. More than ever, we need someone to secure the missing Kirby content in Smash, and the ability to paint characters and bosses would be a neat way of doing that.

I think she should draw from her boss fights and her moveset in Star Allies, which also draws from her boss fights. A frail character with weaker physical attacks and sub-par mobility, but a lot of paintings of Dream Land's characters that have a lot more utility and power she does. Specials, smash attacks, and her grab can utilize paintings that all have different properties and patterns.
