You can still make your combos. Nothing is stopping Konami from making a card that gives you more points. I just want to split the game into early game - slow play and late game - explosive fast plays.

funny you say that, because MTG has the most bonkers combos ever. KCI is literally a "do anything you want on an infinite loop" and it's tame when compared to other combos that use older cards
at the same time, the maximum non-infinite number of damage points you can deal on turn 1 is so big you need to use a notation specifically for numbers as big as it. and then you change notation again because the number really is that big.

The only problem I have with recent cards is that the text is absolutely excessive.
The text on the cards is getting so small and long they absolutely need buzzwords for mechanics to shorten it.

Not OP; I like the idea behind the speed duel format but the current card pool is fucking awful and the fact that you have to buy the specific speed duel cards even if you already own the originals is stupid.

Sometimes I wonder whether people who said this have actually tried to learn the new mechanics or not.
I mean, I also haven't played since Xyz was a thing and can barely follow what's going on in duels nowadays, but that's probably because I haven't followed the game in almost a decade.

MtG is a lot easier and less complex than yugioh. Now that's not good or bad bad, but calling mtg more big brained is just wrong.

And the land mechanic is just objectively terrible, it would be a lot better if you just removed those from deck building and added +1 mana to your pool every turn.

The game was fucked beyond recognition after XYZ was tossed in.

I wish there were ppl to play mtg with in my town. We only have 1 local game store and all people there are either 30-50 years boomers or 10 year kids.
