Frontier is the one series where I am an avid dubfag. The cast wasn't spectacular or anything (although Steve Blum did a great job) but it was the first anime I watched start to finish week-by-week on TV instead of in reruns or videos.
Also the dub OST of Frontier is the fucking shit. The tribal vibe they went with fit the Spiritual aspect really well; as much as I love hot blooded anime music I think the dub was better off with its own OST for Frontier. Even the OP was better in English.

A lot of people's fan lines just follow basic design principles or lore shit. Most evo lines make sense in the context of what it is. Remember that Digimon are just data that change based on the type of data they're given, never really understood this criticism. They aren't actual living creatures that need to follow a set evolutionary path.

It's increasingly become this, yes, but earlier designs in the series from Digimon's equivalent gens 1-3 (adventure 01 and 02 and tamers eras) were mostly just monster designs,nyou onlyt really startered to see a larger proportion of humanoid designs stating with frontier, and even then it only becomes the majority post Xross wars which is basically it's gen 6.

depends if you want a monster raising sim or a more traditional JRPG.
The latter is generally more newcomer friendly, the mainline series for those is the "DIgimon Story" games, though confusingly localized without the Story label for most of them.
That's Digimon World/Story DS, Digimon Story/World SUnburst/Moonlight/Dawn/Dusk, and Cyber Sleuth and it's sequel. There are others but they aren't localized.
I'd either wait for the Cyber sleuth collection PC/switch port, or just emulate DS story and Dawn/dusk, the thing to keep in mind is CS is a more fleshed out expierence and is aimed more at an older audience that grew up with diguimon as a kid rather then beibng aimed at kids, wheras DS and Dusk/Dawn go for an all ages demographic.

Its "Gluttony Flare", in which it shoots El Evangelio from its Berenjena as magic bullets, incinerates data without leaving a trace, as if the flames themselves swallowed the enemy whole. Furthermore, it acquired its "Seventh Full Cluster", where it condenses the power of Gluttony Flare into the Crown of Gluttony and fires it as a single shot.

Digimon World 1 if you want to raise a single Digimon at a time and just kinda explore the world with vague instructions
Digimon World 2 if you want a dungeon crawler with 3v3 battles. VERY slow in all fronts, only play if you have the patience.
Digimon World 3 if you want 3v3 battles but with one Digimon out at a time. Still very grindy and slow but not quite as bad as 2.
Digital Card Battle if you like card games. Recommend to finish World 1 first if you can.

World DS and Dawn/Dusk. Also kinda grindy though much slower due to the animations not taking nearly as much time, the drawback being the animations are not very impressive. Worth a look at least.

There are some incentives to keep some low level digimon like a good unique ability or your party size limit, but nine times out of ten you just straight up benefit from your digimon being a higher stage. That said you can do low level runs as well, the game isn't super hard outside of postgame content where you get some stupid bosses.
