Steveposters actually got off surprisingly easily compared to what I'm sure would have happened if Banjo hadn't gotten in. Just look at what happened when Ashleyfags got btfo by K. Roolfags, and Ashleyfags only shitposted against K. Rool for about a month. After spending the better half of a year shitposting and conjuring up anti-Banjo-Kazooie OC, I fully expected Steve/Minecraft content on Yea Forums to get burned to the ground in retaliation. I remember in the Nuts and Bolts video they mentioned that one of the ideas they had was a full remake where the characters are aware it's a remake and the levels would be changed accordingly. This would be the perfect time to make that with all the recent revivals in 90 platformers like Crash and Spyro.

A while ago, back before Banjo's announcement, I was looking at some of Grant Kirkhope's music on Spotify. He doesn't have a lot on there, but I found out the Nuts and Bolts soundtrack was on there, I added a couple of tracks I liked to a playlist and moved on. Fast forward a few weeks (still before the announcement) I notice that the Nuts and Bolts Soundtrack was removed from Spotify, while Kirkhopes other stuff is still up. I only made the connection the other day, but does the removal of the soundtrack have anything to do with his Smash reveal? Something to note is that none of Nintendo's stuff is on Spotify officially from what I've seen.
I know I'm grasping at straws here, and I don't really understand how ownership really works, but could this mean Nintendo possibly own the rights to Banjo or something now?

If we are talking about who has handled this whole situation better, it seems to me that Banjofags could have been a lot harder on Steveposters but haven't, whereas we know from the mountain of evidence of the last year, that Steveposters would not have been nearly as gracious if they were in Banjofags shoes right now.

After Microsoft snatched up Rare most people gave up on the idea. Sure they *wanted* it but they knew MS in 2008 would never let it happen.
The only thing they might have allowed at the time was putting B-K, Killer Instinct, Jet Force Gemini, etc on the Wii virtual console since they did allow GBA and DS Rare games. Even after I got a 360 I hoped they would. No one thought it was possible until Phil spoke out on it.
