I've played R6 Siege on both, mostly on PC. It's horrible on console because people get mouse and keyboard mods and stomp people playing properly with controllers.

Didn't Battlefield 3/4 upgrade to 45hz or 60hz servers as default since the hit detection was shit? I remember them originally being at like 12 or something abyssmally low, bumping it up to 24 which still sucked so they just tossed out 60hz or something.

But to answer your question I'm pretty sure most competitive shooters, especially arena shooters default to 45hz and 60hz. Valve's servers are default 64hz. PUBG switched to 60hz as default a long time ago.

Let's take FPS for example.

Someone that clocked in 1000 hours on PC will out perform a person that also clocked 1000 hours on console.

I'd say I'm proof since my friend played a shooter on PC then when I switched from console, the reaction time level was significantly different.

It's funny to go back to console after realizing it because then you'll see how low of a reaction time console gamers have.

Although both have their own type of games, I'd say PC is just really meant for competitive gaming.

This hasn't been true for years now. The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X exist, and there's plenty of third-party controllers out there.

It's kind of weird. I migrated from PS4 to PC (kept console of course for denuvo titles that i dont want on my drive), and continued to play overwatch. Truth be told, on PC I'm still not that great at it and rely on characters that focus more on positioning than accuracy.

Recently I hopped back on the PS4 version to play with a buddy and I was absolutely wrecking face with mcree and doomfist. Everything just seemed slower, like I could take my time setting up shots and combos. I was a mediocre player before the move but I honestly felt like I was playing against bots now.

So now I play on console whenever I get tired of my scrub ass losing games on PC, because I get to feel superior.

Those controllers with the paddles on the back definitely come to mind, as now there are players who don't need to pull their thumbs off the sticks to jump, reload, or switch weapons. That's pretty significant.

Most console games don't allow more than 8 directions of movement relative to the camera, especially in shooters, the only benefit you get from the joystick is more precise speed control but you put yourself at a disadvantage in regards to map control if you aren't always going max speed unidirectionally anyway.
