at the first game

I dropped it after 5 minutes

Not defending Pokemon but let's see you create what is it now 800? Different Pokemon and still give a fuck if they look good or keep the same art style for 25 years even people evolve like the retarded Pokemon.

it's funny how much you can milk weeb manchildren that will buy literal pile of garbage because of nostalgia

They haven't, I'm not a curmudgeon

Somewhere between Gen 3/4. Didn't care at all for the increasing amount of robot-looking legendaries

>REALISM GOOD,STYLIZATION BAD

I want to say around 4 when they became overdesigned. X/Y when James Turner came in and they went to hell.

Gen 5. The beginning of James Turner and nu-Pokemon.

Never because every gen has both good and bad designs.

gen 1 and 2 were good faggot.

I'll let you know. Not in love with anything particular in gen 8 so far but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt until we see them all.

>realism
ehh?

love how the pic compares anime pikachu with TCG pikachu, wait until they meet dream world pikachu

You could start to see the rot as early as gen 2 and gen 3 was probably the biggest single shift in artstyle, but gen 4 was when they really went to shit on the whole

Gen 5's starters and legendaries weren't that great but I liked most of the other mons, especially all the new bugs and ghosts.
Gen 6 brought few mons I really liked, same with Gen 7, though I liked some of the alolan forms and ultra beasts

>you're a genwunner if you like gen 1 designs
retard

In fifth gen
>Roggenrola
>Timburr
>the gear pokemons, I forgot their names
>The copypaste monkeys
>The genie trio
>Stunfisk
It's like they literally embraced their several known design flaws (Objectmons, humanoids and uninspired legendary trios out the ass) and expected the fans to accept them instead of calling them out on them

I like rapidash better than keldeo but I like talonflame better than pidgeot.

The expansion with the 3 legendary beasts, the ones with the really weeby names.

This image is such a retarded stretch, posted by the same kinda fag who thinks he's smart for knowing Super Mario 2, was actually Doki Doki Panic.

>But OMG their both Crabs!!!!!!!

Yeah they both based their desighnes on real life, then built upon and stylized it like everyone else. Like Haunter and that Ghost have almost nothing alike aside from being ghosts, and yourcomparing a pile of toxic waste used to show pollution and filth to a slug.

Gen 4 probably has my least favorite/memorable designs overall.
Sword and Shield aren't inspiring much confidence but I'm digging the pokegirl designs at least.
