Usually popping a regen in damaged DPS is enough to tide them over until the tank is stable.

I am talking about multiple instances across the entire game. I do every side quest, every job, etc. The writing is very inconsistent about power levels. It's not surprising given the scope of content and multiple writers.

Very few jobs need guides on how to play as you level and most people don't care about how you play outside of max level content. This enables people to play at shoddy levels of mediocrity for most of the game until you at least consider doing Extreme primals which is a wake up call for majority of players to realize they aren't hot shit and a small stepping stone towards Savage and etc.

ARR has a limited amount of armor sets, and a bunch of them are reskins of each other. Once you get past the base game and start hitting patch + HW content you'll have way more options. In the meantime you could donate any extra gear you don't want to your GC officer so you could buy GC gear or glamour prisms. I always liked foestrikers set for ranged, acolytes set for casters, or the any of the plate armors for tanks

I finished ShB. I wanted to save a glamour plate for when I'm doing ARR quests -> HW quests -> SB quests -> ShB quests. I'm leveling up my low level classes and doing some of the side content. Although the later expansion gear looks "nice", they feel a bit too powerful for the WoL to be wearing at that moment. I'll take a look at the GC gear though. It looks like what I'm looking for.

Any Windows devbros around by any chance? I want to know if theres some way to emulate mouse clicks in game without a mouse? Its easy enough to just use mouse_events or directinput or anything similar to click but you have to lose control of your mouse and must bring the game to focus. There are some programs that can run it int the background but they are all closed source. I'm thinking they inject code into DirectX and manipulate that perhaps? Too time consuming to learn all that without any easy wrappers though and I found none.

A MNK hitting all positionals with optimal rotation and no mistakes can also beat me but they all end up getting themselves killed too often to stay in top slot throughout an entire fight. If they aren't killing themselves, then they are missing positionals or fucking up their rotation and end up falling behind.

Heal scaling isn't fucked, they just made a conscious choice to make things harder to heal. Which is sort of what healers have been asking for.

I heal for like 200-300 more HP on Lustrates at i450 than I did at I i400.

They did something weird with the scaling for 70-80.

unironically Thancred, Alphinaud has been nothing short of exceptional in how far he has come, dude has grown one hell of a spine and can hold his own well enough, dude is your best bud and is reliable to boot, not to mention he and Alisaie share the most entertaining dynamic of the scions
Cid is fine, we usually just get roped in to whatever shit he has going on, but its usually shit that needs sorting out anyway. If Nero is around, its much better since they have a pretty great dynamic with each other
Thancred is alright, honestly I'm not a big fan of his more brooding attitude, I felt he lost a lot of personality after ARR, not to mention he was being a dick on purpose to Minifillia despite none of the shit she has to deal with being her fault, at least he gets better, but I certainly miss his more jovial personality.
