PLD has the least damage out of all the tanks. Sheltron is a joke. Intervention is a joke. Passage of Arms is jank and requires you to stop dealing damage. Divine Veil is jank and just a shittier version of Shake it Off that doesn't even apply to the PLD. Cover is a joke now too. All PLD has that's good is Hallowed Ground and it's the biggest meme skill in the game.

No big surprises here, MCH has a garbage damage output compared to BRD and it's only utility is fucking tactician, not only that but WF is finally fixed but it's way too ping dependent to feel good to use (you'll often pull 3k5 even if you used 5 heat blasts + Drill/AA). It's still an absolute blast to play overall but it really need some potency buffs or something.

Solus (the mortal man) was a very skillful tactician and making great head way with building up the Empire. This is why Emet supposedly picked to take him over. The growing Garlemald Empire was a great tool to help form another calamity and aid the Rejoining. Emet also stuck with the same body because Ascians apparently grow weaker as they body jump. So it's better to stay in one as long as possible.
Actual WHM main here, WHM can get nerfed when SCH gets nerfed, GCD heals don't count and WHM is only highest DPS when it can spend virtually all of its gcds on glare and never move, in actual content SCH is going to be competitive or better like always in addition to having better overall ogcds
That being said WHM and SCH are clearly made to complement eachother and I'd rather have a SCH than another WHM and most SCH probably feel the same

Scholar and summoner are two jobs of the same class, arcanist. When you level one up they both level up. So you can do both healer role quest and magical DPS role quest with a single class, leaving you with just two other classes to level. By far the fastest way to level if you're playing a tank or a healer is to just spam queue for highest level leveling dungeon (i.e. any dungeon that is not level 50, 60, or 70, as those give shit XP). So just level a scholar and any tank class of your choice by spamming dungeons, and for the last role questline, physical DPS, just level by doing main storyline and/or by doing dungeons with your squadron and trusts.

Not really, AST can fit perfectly between WHM and SCH.
WHM can be the best personal dps and reactive healing with no group damage utility.
SCH can be middling personal dps with proactive healing and average group damage utility.
AST can be lowest personal DPS with the ability to choose proactive vs reactive healing and the most group damage utility.
It's not rocket science, cards got hit too hard and Divination doesn't feel impactful. That's where any focus on buffing AST should go.

ffflogs proves, through rDPS, that raid buffs are underpowered. In order to fix FFXIV's balance issues, square needs to do one or more of the following:

>Significantly increase the effectiveness of current raid buffs and add more new raid buffs to all support-leaning DPS classes
>Significantly increase the damage done by support-leaning DPS classes through across-the-board buffs
Until these things happen, BLM, MNK, DRG, and so on will continue to do so much more damage that you cannot justify bringing a support-leaning class into the party.
Isn't this actually a good strategy, you can have DNC do mechanics will BLM get to focus on DPS as often as possible. In other parties you still have some DPS that needs to do mechanics while a couple can ignore them and just focus on their rotation, except they're not buffed
You technically got 2 new DPS, both being ranged physical this expansion. People however are sticking to double melee so its extra hard to really balance it out.

For some reason the damage for the big transition attack is calculated WAY before it actually goes off. I've had plenty of times where I used tank LB2 and even LB3 to try and survive 2 debuff stacks, and the healers still die instantly.
WHM is the best healer in the entire game.
It's an entire extra step other healers don't have to take. Any slight movement and you only hit one target because on top of everything else Gravity has shit range.

MCH is a selfish DPS that doesn't pull selfish DPS numbers it a party niche dedicated to utility, it's in a pretty objectively awful spot and it only gets worse the better your group is. single target you have 6 skills that make up your combos, 2 for each step of a 3 step combo. 3 of them are raw DPS skills, 2 give buffs, and 1 gives a DoT. You cycle through them but you skip the DoT in favour of a the raw damage finisher every 2nd cycle. It has some OGCD skills, self buffs, and a group buff, that you use at appropriate times.
It's AOE combo is basically 123 but you put up the buff from the 2nd hit of your single target buff combo and it gets extended by the 2nd hit of the AOE combo but not applied by it.
They're exactly the same in a mediocre group, dumbass.

You don't get it. It's not about having higher uptime, it's that the jobs are objectively easier to play and thus less likely to make mistakes that get them killed and cost them dps. They do not balance around graphs and charts. As far as SE is concerned, clearing is all that matters, jobs are balanced for prog where no one knows what's happening, and that's it. Anything beyond clearing is a pointless contest that raiders have come up with on their own because clearing isn't enough for them. The devs couldn't care less about whether a certain comp clears 20 seconds faster than another. The DPS results from a group where no one even dies are worthless, because they still cleared.
