There is nothing akin to user's AAA studio produced GOTYAY FPS/RPG because VR does not have the interest or the investment to produce those kinds of games and because optimizations like foveated rendering haven't been fully developed yet.

Until both of those issues get resolved the best you're going to get is early PS3 era graphics and nintendo wii interactivity.

In Death, for example, is one of those games that at least tries to be replayable and video gamey. Most don't. H3VR is a good example - completely lost direction, and is some retarded amateur devs sketchbook.

Quick rundown? The biggest flaws in V-a-M for me personally are convulted UIs and no cloud-based scene selection like in Yiffalicious and that the models are a bit uncanny. Not one of those incel weebs that won't even touch any game that isn't VRChat because it doesn't have anime, but it wouldn't hurt if the models had some more expressive eyes and faces.

Yeah there's some pretty fun ones. It's easy to look down on indie games but some of them are quite good on vr. It goes back to pre seventh gen days before making video games was expensive due to graphics and the gameplay speaks for itself, for better or worse. Orbusvr is a fun one that you might try.

It's a simple scene player and creator I guess. Some scenes are better than others, but it's obvious what are the limitations of the creator. Characters are decently arousing and you can easily shift your camera and even use POV of whichever character you want.
It has decent femdom scenes with thicc giraffes fucking small foxboys, and it's not a hassle to just turn it on, put on the headset, jerk off in front of your PC and be done with it you don't need meme controllers, KB+M is enough.

Current big budget game paradigm revolves around releasing a minimum viable product and selling it as a microtransaction platform. That's not really viable with VR (currently).
Logically any remaining games are smaller in scope and focus on doing one thing well (as long as you ignore the shit that does nothing well) and are either indie or more like AA.
Unless the paradigm shifts to releasing good games or VR becomes lowest common denominator like consoles it won't attract big budget poo-in-loo games with massive scopes but since those will be for the mentally subnormal they probably won't be that good anyway.

They're both shit, Zero-effort ports in typical Bethesda fashion. Neither make good use of VR and are awful messes.

Thing with Gorn is it had the potential to be Swords and Sandals VR or something. They recently added a shit boss fight and called it 1.0v and that's probably it. I don't get the devs. They have all the mechanics and shit made, all that's left is the fluff, filler, extra levels and some simple game design shit. No shit your game will be dead if you know everything about it after 30 minutes. Same with Vox Machinae and Contractors.

Is there a bigger wasted potential than PC VR? Frankly I think with the current state of content, I'd have more fun turning my VR controllers into a lightgun emulator and playing shit like pic related on my monitor than any of the indie garbage spamming the lists of VR "games" on Steam.

I think the problem is that consumer VR is still relatively new (Rift's been out what, three years?) And devs are still trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. Think back to Atari or NES where most of the games were either really short or designed with replayability in mind.
Eventully VR devs will figure out a formua but it might be a while.
