I just started another play though after a long time. The game gets much more hate then it deserves. Not at all the best fallout but Yea Forums only rates things 0/10 or 10/10 nothing in between.

It's an alright game. It's hard to find things to do post game, like no secrets or anything.

This has to be one the unfunnest games I ever played, for real.

Do survival mode, sneak, no armor, and get the mod that makes dialogue options the full text. Your dude will still be a non caring boring twat but that's just how he reads the lines. It's not a great game even then but you feel like a fucking god in the brief moments you use power armor, which is only when you find it and until the power runs out because you're not a shitter.

Makes it a decent 6/10 experience, especially once you get to the point where you want to hatefuck Piper

Stealth builds become useless when you have to fight a centrybot, asaultron or any other insanely high level enemy.

yeah, means you have to plan for it and use resources. Granted, equipment is lackluster in the game but you'll still manage if you carry enough emergency shit. Turns the game into a thinking mans retarded game instead of it just being plain bullshit

It reaches a semblance of balance on survival difficulty, because the consequences of being caught are much bigger. But yes it is, and on survival it's just unbalanced in the other direction and you have to make up for it in some other way

You may get around it sometimes but sometimes you won't, for example the final room in Mass fusion, a main quest area, has a centrybot and two asultrons in small space that's also unskippable and the doors get locked down until you defeat them. Or when you're on the glowing sea and there's a deathclaw standing in front of the main quest cave. The stealth becaomeses useless and you have to go chimp mode and use rocket launchers, powerarmor, etc.
