I was downloading some cgpeers AAA character sculpting and modeling courses so I could maybe make good 3D.

I think a good looking simple 3D game is easier than a good looking 2D game, but you need to have more extensive knowledge of 3D tools.

That shit takes even more time. Just take a look at a any studio known for heavy photogrammetry usage (e.g. capcom with RE7, RE2 remaster and DMC5) and you'll see that they have a ton of 3D artists working on it while still constantly reusing assets because they are so expensive.

I like Spark 2. It was done by a single BR, as was Spark 1 but that was 2d.

From my research a single fully animated AAA model takes about a month of work for a single person.

while the same amount of work for a 2D HD character would take half a year.

Those kinds of calculations don't make any sense. A model alone can be finished and rigged in less than a month, but animation takes a shit ton of time and is a completely seperate process. 3D artists also always specialize. Someone who had to do everything would be slower. It also depends on how important a model is. A less important model takes a lot less time than one people will be constantly seeing.

Are you talking about tradtionally animated art? Yeah, it costs a shit ton, which is why essentially nobody does it.
That's why virtually all indie games use pixel art or 2D stills, because it's magnitudes easier to produce.
Bone animation if you don't mind it looking like shit ('good' looking example would dragon's crown). You won't find anything else.
