I fucking HATE being shit at competitive games.
I HATE IT

if you don't play you can't lose
I've always just been naturally better than most people at games
git gud
>tfw don't know how to git gud
How do I do it? I don't get it. If all I do for the next month is dedicate myself to one game, it'll work right? I just don't understand. How much more can I get my strategies to improve due to pure play hours?
Play to improve
Impossible for me sometimes.
I if I havent gotten even slightly better after over 1000 hours then I just don't think I have the competitive gene.
>800 hours in a game
>still can barely get kills
grinding doesn't work if you're retarded. you just reinforce your bad habits for 200 hrs. watch other people and copy them.
>Practice
>Learn from others
>Play something else for a little while
Take your pick
The only possible way to not improve in that incredibly high amount of time had to be that you never left your comfort zone seeking to get better and learning from your mistakes and observing instead of being a crybaby about it and going back to doing the same mistakes over and over using the safe shit that's already been shown to not work
Stop being shit then.
>grinding
Try learning from mistakes
>tfw extremely trusting and will walk right into any bait or traps set for me.
I think if I get some patience and common sense I can be a really fearsome player. My reactions, combos and stuff are all really good but I suck piss in neutral.
>I got bored of shooters a decade.5 ago
>play one every 2 years for a week or 2
>instantly dominate with 80% win rate and like go 34-4 in most matches
>get bored again and move on
>Play casual crap
>Surprised when most people are bad
Whoa!
He gave them a decade to improve, should've used it well instead of sucking
What's the secret to getting better at aiming in shooters? It's even more difficult with things like Titanfall and Quake.
have a low sens and have a good mouse. play with the most aim intensive gun/character and then grind until you never miss.
Of course everyone always has marginal improvements when they start to learn the game coming in from 0 knowledge, but mechanical skill is a different matter.
I'm currently trying to get better in quake.
What would you recommend for fixing my shitty 20% Lightning gun accuracy? Using the gun a lot? Because thats what everyone else recommends, and I do it, and I havent gotten better yet. Its still the same shitty 20% as when I started playing the game a few years ago.
Make your sens feel right, firstly, makes a world of difference
I honestly can't give tips as it comes natural for me from the looks of it after reading this thread. Aiming is no different than just hovering your cursor over something that moves to me. Lightning gun is one of the easiest guns to use, I've found. Being accurate with flick shots is where it gets interesting. (Rail gun, rockets)
How low are we talking here? G502 is okay, I assume.
>aim intensive
I hope you don't mean snipers. But by this logic, isn't it every weapon/character that's aim intensive unless they have some help in aiming.
>comp team games
LOL
Ive already adjusted my sensitivity as people recommended I do.
Now you see my point. There just some things that certain people cant improve on. I'm not ever going to be able to compete against someone with 50% lg accuracy.
First find out why you suck at a game
Record your games see when you make mistakes, watch pros play and see what thye do different and if you really are desperate hire some coach from fiverr to help you find out what you should do
Then practice to get rid of your mistakes until you hit another wall and repeat
But then again i never would do that for a videogame since i just play for fun and aren’t a try hard
I dread the day I find myself getting worse due to old age and illness
Thankfully not 30 yet
Checked and my lightning gun accuracy is 37%. However the rail gun, my favourite gun, 55%.
well it depends on the game and the problem your facing. if you're tracking is dogshit play with a high mag low damage gun if its flick shots then play with a sniper/semi-auto rifle. your mouse is fine. for sens just steal any pro player's sens for the game you're playing and then use online calculator to put it in all your games forever. what i mean when i say "aim intensive" is that they require good aim to get high value. if you use a smg at close range then it probably doesn't require perfect aim but a revolver or sniper absolutely requires great aim.
Is QC any good to pick up? Is it also possible to just focus on accuracy and precision over tactics ever? Or do they just have to go hand in hand together?
>Game needs VC
>Accent so subhuman they think I'm not speaking English
What do you have to lose? You'll find out trying. I guess the tactics are subtly in there when it comes to TDM modes, as expected.

Global in CSGO
>today
Can’t break out of nova ranks
What the fuck is going on? I feel like my brain has turned to mush. I’m a Cumbrain now.
I'm not even old. I'm 22.
As far as aiming in FPSs, I just believe that I flat out just cannot get better.
because you think you are a god who should just win. when you were ranking up originally you were playing your hardest and actively thinking through your decisions. now you're just operating on auto pilot probably.
i played the spy with the amby exclusively for ages until i got good enough people called me a hacker
then i stopped playing for like a year, came back and struggle to hit anyone again.
sad times
Better stop believing, get comfy and focused and start improving
I got to global 3 seperate times, including moving overseas and doing it another region.
I’m 29 and legitimately think my brain is rotting, maybe it’s all the junk food and computer use.
maybe thats true. but you can still apply principles and practice the different pieces of aiming. learn to flick and track, learn cross hair discipline etc. or just keep wining.
Any opinions on using Kovaaks?
>win
>be happy
>lose
>get really, really, really fucking pissed off
I know I'm going to have to lose sometimes, and yet I'm still like this
How did you manage to do that 3 times? Have you just been playing since forever?
I use to pub stomp TF2 as sniper and it got to the point where even a couple deaths even in close range with a better class was infuriating. I think it’s some form of autism.
>tfw suck at smash
offline is still fun tho
I hit global right when I broke the 1000 hour mark on csgo.
Basically this was before the awp movespeed nerf and the cz75 nerf so I would style on kids even though I was pretty bad at classic style CS.
I have over a thousand hours in day of defeat, 1.6, tf2, planetside 2 each.
Probably should just end it at this point, only downhill from here.
Stop playing those sorts of games
They're made to keep you mad so you keep wanting to come back and try again
They hit a part of your ego that tries to prove to you that you're not "bad enough" and it sucks, its like youre just playing to prove to someone youre good at that shitty game when in reality no one gives a fuck
Not only that, but there are rarely any rewards for winning, while there are catastrophic consequences for losing
My life improved after I stopped playing overwatch and league of legends, those games are fucking mind poison
Kovaaks aim trainer
>They hit a part of your ego that tries to prove to you that you're not "bad enough" and it sucks, its like youre just playing to prove to someone youre good at that shitty game when in reality no one gives a fuck
I don't have anything else though, those wins are the only mild boost of self worth around.
Probably also look into that autist aimer7s guide to using kovaaks to improve aim
Stop shilling whatever the fuck this
I play quake and it's pretty much the most efficient way to improve your aim.
Lots of up-and-comers use it
>tfw lowest tier despite feeling like I’m above average
Damn. It’s a long way to go.
Why? Unless you think you're going to be a world champion you're always going to be shit compared to others.
The whole idea with competitive games is they have matchers that put you against other shitters, so you can still have fun.
Atleast youre happy when you win, I don't feel much of anything from victories especially close ones, yet still feel annoyed when I lose
Maybe fps is not your genre. You should try different games.
I'm trash at pretty much anything that's not a fighting game. Played cs for so long in my teens and i'm terrible when i try cs go. Never got out of diamond in overwatch; was even worse in TF2. And i also have over 900 hours in rocket league and i'm just a little above average.
>Hit a wall in an FPS
>Getting outgunned in most 1v1s
>Debating whether to switch to low sensitivity and lose all my muscle memory or stay "good enough"
What should I do Yea Forums? I've played with high sensitivity for a decade now.
I'd probably just stick with high sens and try to play smarter than try and switch to a low sens.
>youtube
Learn from people better than you using this one simple tool.
>actually play the game
I bet most faggots sit down for max an hour a day and play. You'll be better if you spent less time on Yea Forums and more time playing.
For me it's me
>win
>im pissed because i had to carry a team of shitters
>lose
>im pissed because i wasnt able carry my team of shitters
being good at them isn't fun either
then you notice how shit everyone is and it's a lot less fun
I don't think that's how muscle memory works. You'll do as well if not better after 5 hours of playing on a good sens.
>Lose
>Feel nothing except an urge to play a different game
>Win
>Get angry because I could have played better
I've actually been trying to learn how to improve from Youtube videos but there isn't as much as you'd think. In depth tutorials for the games I play, CSGO and Siege, are hard to find outside of bare bones basic shit everybody learns in their first 30 minutes.
>Win
>"You're welcome, team..."
>Lose
>I still have 2+ KD baseline but feel absolutely miserable for not being good enough to carry the team this time, sperging out in chat about it
One step closer to kyssing myself every time I hear the shitters on my team open their mouth with their excuses
>tfw playing osu from 2014 and I'm still stuck at 2.200 pp
>win
>pretend I am some kind of pro and how victories don't matter if we had fun
>lose
>scream and rage
>pick a stationary point or object in a game
>turn all the way around so your back is to the object
>turn around and try to shoot it as fast as you can by stopping the cursor on it
>if you overshoot it, lower sensitivity
>if you undershot it, raise sensitivity
Repeat until you get it every time with the first shot. Works on all FPS.
>250 hours of cs:go, playing on and off since 2013
>still stuck in Silver 1 hell
that's why I picked up teamfight tactics
I can just faceroll like a retard, end up in 3rd place simply due to sheer luck and still keep climbing the ladder like I was good at a video game
