The lack of strafing isn't necessarily a negative. The game is designed around this and it makes the movement a fun challenge. Ratchet gets too close to a simple run 'n gun later anyways.

The remake was okay at best. But the original will always be better.
I freaking loved Tools of Destruction and a Crack in Time though. Listening to space pirate radio was awesome.

The remake really is fucking boring, combat doesn't complement movement at all. No matter what enemy you're fighting and what level you're in, strafe-flipping and spamming any gun from across the room will always kill it.
