There's actually a bunch of voice work recorded by Keef that was cut from the game anyway because Kojima's a retard. Spent all that money to record this stuff and then suddenly decided he wanted a silent protagonist so he threw it all out.
They wrote Venom as a quieter character long before Kiefer was hired because Kojima wanted to make a Mad Max 2 game. Hence the quiet protagonist, dog companion, desert, cars, annoying blonde kid with a machete etc. Kiefer talks plenty as actual Big Boss in his five minutes of screen time.

And the argument was about how Snake supposedly "asks a lot of questions" which is simply a fucking meme no matter how many goalposts you move or cherrypicked videos you provide. The writing of an individual MGS game works as a contained work with its own themes, it only starts shitting itself once you bring up continuity and no fucking wonder since Kojima just made up shit as he went along. Nothing past 3 (aside from Peace Walker) is worth discussing really.
