Play the ps1 version and use the jp glitch.

Also my ps1 disc no longer reads, not sure if it’s my ps2 or the disc but I take good care of my games and it’s the only disc based game I’ve ever own to stop working.

Which version is better? PS1 or PSP?

Def the PSP on. While some people didn't like "Ye ole english" flavour they added to the PSP version, I think it added charm. Ultimately PSP's way better than the original one thanks to better loading times and extra content.

The only thing is you need to patch the game or find a patched iso because it has awful slowdowns each time you attack and you can’t use the JP glitch which removes a ton of grinding (but makes the game too easy)

I would play FF Tactics but the isometric perspective really fucks me. Like up is right and down is left and all that bullshit. Even in a tactics game where quick movement isn't necessary, it's really annoying and takes me out of the game. If there's anything FE got right, and I think it's one of the keys to its success, it's the top-down perspective.

Confusing at first? This was the default for srpgs, you’re not zoomers are you? Did you start playing rpgs on your 3ds?

I mean I did start playing SRPGs on my 3DS with Awakening, but got used to the old style extremely fast. I think that user is just looking for an excuse

I haven't played many srpgs but I do recall being 7 y/o and confused with the cursor controls when I played FFT for the first time.
