Not that guy, but some regions' ISPs simply don't offer unlimited data because they know they can squeeze more money out of customers by charging fees for going over a specified amount of data. Google's response to this and other ISP-related issues makes them sound naively optimistic to an insane degree

An offline authentication key can still be made for offline "sesions" lets call it instead of accounts. And even if Valve ceases to exist piracy will still exist, online games will just migrate or make their own launchers.

I live in the US, where most of the country has access to ISPs that offer unlimited data. It's always my European and Australian friends who mention data caps to me and talk about unlimited data like it's a foreign concept to them

Unlimited data isnt an option in most parts of the world you dense fuck, ISPs cant be arse to build the infrastructure necessary for better internet in general outside of technobubbles like silicon valley.
