Nier: Automata was one of my favourite games this generation but I hope the next Taro game is a new IP or at least a Nier game with a different setting with just a some connections to the previous two, like Automata.

There is really not a lot of things to do with the Automata ending. Plus the next Taro game seems to be developed internally by Square Enix and not Platinum Games so a new IP would fit even more.

For example, If you put a light sword in one hand and a heavy sword in the other, pressing light attack and following with a heavy does the same move whether it's the light sword in the light hand and the heavy in the heavy or vice versa. It'd be based as fuck if doing a light attack with a heavy weapon followed with a heavy attack with a light weapon did a different move than following a light attack a light weapon and a heavy attack with a heavy.
