Isn't the idea of being scored based upon the speed you beat the game sorta antithetical to the slow-paced play encouraged by survival horror games? I feel like a better scoring system would calculate the amount of items used, the damage you took, and how efficiently you played. You could keep the speedrun score as a separate thing, though.

Yeah but it’s not antithetical to the game because it’s not a survival horror game. It’s a TPS.

That's the point, you dunce. Playing it slow feels natural because it's easier and more intuitive. Playing it fast is fucking hard.

How is it not survival horror?

I agree, but I feel like there should be two different scores.
They should add Akumu mode.

Pretty much. I would go one step further and just remove the "speedrun score" as you call it. It has no place in a survival horror game (and many other games). It's not like it is needed to speedrun games anyway.

There's no point in removing it for people who enjoy it, but they should add a second score for people who like to play autistically slow when exploring, like myself.

Claire.

Yes there is, because I'm forced to speedrun the game if I want to unlock everything. They can keep the clock, but it shouldn't be tied to unlocks & rank.

RE2 was never slow paced
