Why does Skyrim attract so many normies? What is it about the game that draws them in?
Why does Skyrim attract so many normies? What is it about the game that draws them in?
it's easy
it was casualized enough to be approachable by normies, and le deep blackreach
Brainlet friendly, no consequences because no choises.
I still don't know how game of thrones got so popular
its retardedness
16 yo kids going trough their edge phase that heard of the anti tolkien series when the first season was coming out.
Then they shilled it to their friends and the series became populat.
T.then 16 yo kid going trough his edge phase.
.
the first 3-4 seasons were very good and the novelty of subverting expectations was still fresh
Incest is bad and killing is wrong. So of course America loves it.
Because the game is designed to literally hold your hand the entire time. Doesn't that sound appealing user?
The show was trash from seasons one to eight. Only dummies that wanted an edgier soap opera enjoyed GoT. Deadwood, Rome and Sopranos were the only good HBO shows.
________have sex_____
Women dont actually play skyrim or watch got. They just wear the merch and pretend for attention.
It was the first ES game for the kids born post 2000. Also, casual enough for normies to play. It's the blunder of the century.
its like those zelda fan girls
popular = free points
When I worked at fucking Gamestop, I remember all the normies asking when "Skyrim 2" would come out
>that girl that plays Shin Megami Tensei (not persona) and Mount and Blade Warband
shes a keeper
You tried this thread earlier with the same picture
Maybe get some new material faggot
I don't think you know what blunder means, friendo. regardless of how mediocre it was, it was still one of the most successful and popular games ever.
She doesn't look normal to me. Infact she looks crazy, just the kind of woman I recommend you avoid. - /fit/
its one of the easiest RPGs I've ever played. basically even on the hardest difficulty its not too bad and most people play this shit on normal or easy mode.
that "girl" is a man and you are stalking a trannies recently played games on steam, fucking sad
>Black belt in dick sucking
>Choker
Why do women wear these things? It's gotten so bad I see kids wearing them, and parents seem to be okay with it. I get that they think it's just a harmless accessory, but I don't feel like you should be letting kids wear chokers. It has a really negative reputation associated with it, granted like I said, if you told parents that they'd think you were insane or a pedophile. And yet most white trash whores and emo chicks with mental disorders wear them and they'll suck and fuck anyone who says hi to them.
>Casual game
>Elves!
>Dragons!
>Magic!
>Heavily Marketed
Really not that hard to fathom how. The game appeals to people who like generic fantasy.
that was formerly, now they would seed and feed them
It has more choice and consequence than Morrowind.
Now now I know you are going to scoff and get angry. The one thing you won't do is prove me wrong.
this
but its just parents being unhip to what the kids are doing just like the generations before us
My point still stands, reddit
just because that shithole stole our meme doesnt mean it stopped being ours
you must be from there if you know they use it now, I had no idea because Ive never used that site
Faggot
Not sure, my gf loves to play Skyrim, she really fucking loves the game.
I guess it has everything a fantasy land has to offer in an easy pill to swallow, looks good and is easy to mod it.
Accessibility is the keyword in here.
@472334629
I refuse to take the bait.
>Mention Reddit
>People start to SEETHE
SEETHING
In morrowind you must chose between the thieves and fighters guild. You must chose between the 3 houses. What choices exist in Skyrim which impact the game?
If you say normie instead of normalfag you are just as much of a normalfag as the accused you're mentioning. Now fuck off normalfag
Marketing. That's literally all it is. Normalfags like whatever they're told to like
There's no real depth to the game.
It's easy to play. It's practically a story pop-up book
Women go wild for shit like that
>"Bro, look at my Thomas the tank engine mod. Hahaha, so funny"
>"No, what is SKSE?"
Easy game, with easy modding (if you stay at the surface)
>Choose between different houses such as Telvanni, Redoran and Hlaalu
>Choose between fighter's guild and thieves guild
>It actually matters for the character you are using
And on Skyrim you choose between...?
>Deadwood, Rome and Sopranos were the only good HBO shows.
You don't actually choose TG or FG. You either do the quests in the order that doesn't screw you over or you don't
Just about every Daedric quest has the opportunity to betray the quest giver.
Imp v Stormcloak
Paarth
The peace negotiations
The Cidnha mine quest
There are more but I have already listed more than Morrowind has.
But you can't complete both questlines. You definitely have to chose between guilds eventually.
You can make quest altering choices in all the ES. Choosing the outcome of a quest isn't as big as choosing the outcome of an entire storyline.
Skyrim is the fifa of rpg's.
All my friends liked it back in the day and they all had/still have shit taste.
You are just posting content, still have not done anything to prove me that skyrim has more options than Morrowind.
You haven't played Morrowind at all, huh?
omggg dragons and im such a nerd!
It's comfy Western fantasy and casual enough that people focus more on the roleplay
fuck i wish my dick was skyrim
mention 1 (one) better series than GOT
The Wire
The Sopranos
ill watch them, better be good
Battlestar Galactica (2003 - 2009)
It's braindead easy and casualized.
It's not even an rpg any more. And TES6 will turn out the same way.
Yes there is has always been a choice in TES. Like I said Skyrim has much more than Morrowind.
If you would like to claim Morrowind has more choice kindly match what I have already listed before claiming I should do more.
I will help you a bit.
There are several instances of Nords accosting Breton women. You can choose to side with one or the other and decide which one stands there the rest of the game by killing the other. It is a choice with a sort of consequence I suppose.
Like I said the one thing you won't do is prove me wrong.
Deadwood
Mad Men
Itdoesn't have any choices which changes a storyline. We are trying to say Skyrim doesn't have choices which matter or effect outcome.
Fargo
Seinfeld
Fargo is shit
It has more than Morrowind, I have listed more choice and consequence from Morrowind than you have.
Start proving me wrong if you are correct.
Nope, it's a slick neo noir and you're a pleb
In morrowind you have intersecting stories with the thieves guild and the fighter guild where you must make a choice. This effects two storylines and what your character will learn to some extent. Some thing with the house quests. It is determined by personal decision and skill and will effect the story and what you learn.
Please share some detailed examples from skyrim. I have not played in years.
Rome
You are never given an ultimatum. It is either do in the correct order or not.
I will give it to you because you won't even get close but you will feel a little better.
The earlier post already covers enough to surpass Morrowinds.
Imp v Stormcloak has faction lock
Paarth has faction lock
Daedric quests usually involve either with a follower or artifact
The peace negotiations changes ownership of towns
Cidnha mine ends with either an ally in Markath or acess to a forsworn camp.
We haven't even touched the DB or the random quests in the world.
Breaking Bad
and Better call Saul
You still havn't given any examples which change more than the outcome of a single quest. I am starting to think that you cannot come up with an example to a decision in Skyrim changing part of the story or changing the way/what you learn.
Read the books. It's a coinflip if the character's going to completely "break character" and get themselves killed or became so laden with plot armor they don't even seem to be in the same world as everybody else. GRRM prides himself in being surprising but I find it to be more autistic than anything. You could read 4 chapters of jsut bland bullshit where SOMETHING SHOULD DEFINITELY HAPPEN but doesn't, then there's some calm moment of clarity then some off the wall borderline scifi bullshit happens with zero explanation for the entire series.
Fpbp
I believe you are being willfully ignorant because you know you have already lost.
You aren't even trying to refute me. You are just saying "What you have listed so far is nice what else ya got?"
You picked the hill you want to die on and that is just what you are doing.
Because Skyrim was designed for that purpose.
How can you advance further in both after the codebook quest?
It would help user if you provided examples from Morrowind to shut him up.
You might literally be retarded. Good luck, remember to wear a helmet.
If you join the TG before getting the codebook quest you are golden and won't get locked out.
No "are you with us or them?" dialogue just do things in the right order.
Not really a choice but I will allow it because There is great dearth of choice in Morrowind and user needs all the help he can get.
But i did and he did not. My examples changes questlines. His just change the quests i think. user hasn't gone into any detail.
So you couldn't find any choices on the wiki?
Told you you couldn't prove me wrong.
@veneficaultrix btw.
I'm pretty sure the thieves guild tells you to go fuck yourself
Like we'd take girl advice from a gay
Because there is absolutely nothing interesting about it. Normies cannot process too much information.
There are 6 daedric quests
plus the 4 examples I listed.
Between the two of you you have listed the TG/FG and the great houses.
You both have a ways to go.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Sex and violence.
Groundbreaking stuff, huh?
You would be wrong.
As long as you join the TG before you get the codebook quest from the FG you are all set.
same reason zelda and pokemon attracts women
>The Wire
So in what way do these daedric quests effect the story in Skyrim?
I've actually done this before and they wouldn't give me quests anymore. But I'm sure i missed something.
did you guys know skyrim was part of a series? :o
The Expanse
The Last Kingdom
This was about the volume of choice and consequence in Skyrim vs Morrowind.
If you want to move the goalposts that is fine with me. Skyrim still wins.
Imp V Stormcloak
Kill Paarth or not.
DB destroy a faction or not
Your turn
It's pretty easy and straight forward.
It usually ends up with either a follower or an artifacft.
So they are examples of choice and consequence which was my original point.
Fallout 4 was such a disappointment
Its easy and it was rerelease a 1000 time to have the biggest crowd possible.
exactly if your choice doesn't effect any part of the story or what you learn then it doesn't matter. Killing parth doesn't matter so there is no point in making that choice. Imp. vs. Storncloack? Nothing happens after you complete either quest line. It literal does not matter. So fucking pointless.
It lets millennials experience the dream of owning a property.
Lost
Star trek next generation
Black sails (S2 - end) > all got
Even so after god tier New Vegas
suits
KOTH
Skyrim is to RPG what COD is to FPS.
Get out of here
Tfw I like Skyrim
I still like Morrowind more though
It's accessible and has a big scope, so for people who don't play many games it's impressive
Agreed
Still enjoyed 4 but I wish it was more like new vegas because the factions are literally just Bos or science people
Even if you join the railroad it's just "lmao just do the science missions"
>never played any elder scrolls
>friend at uni suddenly has massive elder scrolls phase
>he and another guy talking about how many thousands of hours they sunk into skyrim
>finally he convinces me to try it
>20+ hours in and now I've given the old guys on the huge mountain this important helmet
>next objective is on the other side of the world again
>get bored and quit
The dawnguard questline was really cool, but I'm just not feeling it. There's something about the combat that's just not satisfying, and the enemies are all the same, in a way. I don't get any feeling of anything I fight being unique.
It was pretty cool in 2011 when there weren't as many open world games (there were still quite a few but not as many that were as dense with things to do) but now it's totally antiquated and not worth playing.
no hard mechanics, expansive world but empty world, power fantasy, no real punishments for the player so you can act like a complete retard and still turn out fine and be the "savior of everything". writing is inoffensive and generic cape shit where you have to save the world, becomes clear from the beginning of the game. no real alien nature to the world. can't think of more right now, too pissed off
SAO
Still can't find anything from Morrowind?
Plus your argument eliminates the few choices that Morrowind actually has.
You are your own worst enemy in this.
Stargate SG-1
>dudes will totally pay for my dinner if they think I play this game
RENT FREE.
Have sex but first dilate to calm down after you seeth so you can finally cope with being an incel
>Incest is bad
Not if it's momcest. Or better yet, succubus momcest.
I gave you more examples which effect the storyline than you gave me
Uh
Fucking problematic incel pol bullies
MODS pls ban this meanie
Battlestar galactica
