Events are your friends. Especially the levelling event right now, it's one of the really good ones that will get you TWO capped characters in a very very short time and give them a gigantic headstart on gear.

There is way too much to know. Beginner tips are pick up your gold and everything else that drops in dungeons, level your buffs/passives, and reconfigure your skill inputs if you need to. And you will if you try and play on a controller, and if you're going to do that you need a third party program like Xpadder or some shit. More specific questions can be answered when they matter.

Level up both event classes (Ghostblade/Enchantress) to 95 for a free best in slot weapon. It takes like 6 hours total and saves you months of grind. You can give the weapon to any character on your account, so you can either make another character after that or stick with those 2.

Ele at least asks for pay. Vetala lets everyone ride for free.

My only issue with the monk is simply complexity l. By no means is he the worst priest class, that probably goes to exo

If your'e going to level the event characters you will see no story at all. It's almost like a drawn out tutorial that gives you a max level character with great gear.

Only requirements to equip anything are level. And it has to be a weapon your class uses, I guess. Each class has weapon specializations usually.

Tune of Souls because the individual pieces give way more raw stats, which is what your buffs scale off of. Plus the set effect gives +100 INT and increases your buff skill level too.

Sell white equipment
Disassemble blue equipment in player disassemblers or the one next to the dungeon entrance
Disassemble purple equipment in your own profession disassembler
If you have to disassemble higher level equipment (chronicles/legendary/epic), do it in player disassembler that's level 11. Doing chrons in your profession disassembler is fine too.

Pick up all gold in dungeons
Pick up all material that drops (cloth/leather/ metal/seals/etc)

While leveling up, save your level 55 magic rare top equip. You can turn that into a lvl55 halidom which gives +1 to your buff, so save that when you get to level 70.

If you need materials for anything (like seals for 2nd awakening), say so in the thread and I'll hook you up or someone else will.

And lastly, YOU HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY

Event characters are a great start. Free BiS weapon is nice, the problem is "do I want to give it to THAT character". Finding your "main" is the hardest thing in this game.

yeah, you get like ~25 materials per run and need 500 total.

Assuming you run it 3 times a day 2 days a week (theres a max 6 entries a week), you would still need 125 materials after week 3, which you could get from either running it again week 4 or just buying it for 250 New Friend Coins from the event shop

With Neo Premium and a 30 FP pot you can get to level 93 in one day, but a newfag probably won't have premium.

The game can scarcely hold your hand any more than it does, there's giant arrows pointing out where you need to go and who you need to talk to in town for 99% of quests, you can't possibly get lost. If you're really overwhelmed, just ignore the 5+ events they have running all the time.

Guess you could try turning these on in the settings. I mean, you just follow your epic quests. In the quest menu, you can hit the location button that'll point you to where you need to go.

GW2, actually. Mesmer is ironically the best tank and its because they area fluttery pink fuck who can block, evade, and parry every attack while also helping block hits against your party.

Striker is a rather linear class, attack-wise, not counting his god-send lightning kick. Striker is all about piling on gear and dragon kicking asses to the milky way.

if you're playing ghost blade or enchantress don't bother using kaleidos since you will eventually get the best in slot gear eventually and gear can be reset daily if you do not open or craft the stuff

i'm talking about dawning crevice you mouthbreather. even then, people will still accept F.saders if they apply to TB/raid since they don't want to wait half a fucking hour just to get a 10% more efficient Crusader that they are basically required to have.
if you really don't want to party with people there are ways to make soloing DC in harlem gear easy.

It takes 20 Kaleido Boxes to use on Epics which gives 100% Superior Quality, using them on Harlem isn't bad if you're an Enchantress/Ghost Blade since you will upgrade it to Tayberrs and the quality will only decrease slightly, otherwise just use it on your Sky's since it has the greatest impact on your stats.

We have all the classes that KR does until they decide to spring a new nerd.

When you look at boxes from Della or Timothy for example, the box itself has a quality on it. That lets you know what quality you get if you open it. I don't think that applies to recipes though.

DFO has a huge resurgence on Yea Forums on and off every year or so. Thing is that it's a fun as fuck game, but it's soul-crushing in large doses and the more you get into it the more disappointed you get by all the shitty decisions that keep getting made by the company.

My major problem is that I keep coming back after the level cap raises, which means 3-4 days of grinding their shitty questlines to cap, followed by 2-3 days of doing dailies, then I'm burnt out. Maybe start a new character and play them to 50 and quit.

The road to 95 is just that, levelling for the sake of levelling, unlocking gear slots and seeing if you enjoy the class. After that it's a simple gear grind progression of assault mode(Harlem Legendaries) followed by Dawning Crevice(Harlem Epics) and then Tayberrs(Tay' epics). Celestial Rift is where you'll spend your rift stones and demon invites to maybe get lucky and get a tay equipment drop and Operation hope is something you'll be doing alongside the grind to get your buff swap set up. once you've got most of your Tayberrs sets it's time to start raiding with fiend war.

Luke Gear is good enough to run Tays as long as your gear is enchanted and everything since Luke has 10% higher stats than Harlem also if you have Savior's Triumph you don't really need a Sky's weapon.

as a newshitter who has almost finished all the quests to get tayberr armour and harlem epic accessories/sub equip, what should the next things i get be? i dont know anything about titles/emblems/avatars/enchants etc other than that i probably need them

It depends on what class you are in regards to enchanting, same for emblems. You only really need one avatar piece, a clone avatar top for your buff swap or mastery. For a title you want to find one with x% All Attack or x% Critical Damage, but generally you want a buff swap title first.

It really just depends on your class, user.

For GB you want to get Weapon ATK cards for top, bottom and your weapon. Critical Chance for shoulder, belt and shoes. Accessories you want either element enchants of your choice or STR. Besides your Sub Equip which takes Weapon ATK, earrings and magic stone only have one enchant you can take.

Enchantress is a buffer so you wanna stack her preferred stats that scale with her buffs and all that, since she has fixed damage she uses independent attack instead of weapon, so you don't want to reinforce enchantress' gear like you would normally, you need to use Klonter and power energy for Enchantress.

Only Clone and Rare Avatars give any sort of stat boost, but they can be slotted with emblems and tops can have a skill chosen, emblems are just stat boosts for avatars and there is also the insignia system which gives more stats. You should probably check out the wiki, bro.

just regarding weapon card, someone told me that +12 ele is best, is that wrong?

It's wrong considering it's only +12 Elemental when upgraded and they're unique, so it would cost you more than just getting a +20 ATK/+15 STR card for like 200k-500k on AH.

Event character gets a pretty good boost and you can't really go wrong with either of them, aside from that look at the wiki/trailers/gameplay vids and see what looks cool to you. If you still can't decide ask again when you've narrowed it down.

You can always make more than one...I recommend looking at the awakenings and 2nd awakenings and picking whoever looks the coolest.

Make the event classes because having two geared 95s gets you a lot of benefits really fast and can start funding shit you want to invest in.

Long and creative combos I guess? Was looking at Monk and Rouge, though maybe Shadow Dancer is cool too.

Kunoichi is the most creative class in the game.

If you want combos, Rogue would have been it before she got reworked I think, but that's just hearsay honestly. Some Rogue mains were not satisifed with it. SD, not really combos I would say, just knowing how/when you can get behind enemies to activate your Shadow Dancing and do full damage. Still fun though.

Can't say I play either of those classes but from what I hear both of them are in a good spot right now and they do fit the playstyle you suggested. You can make two characters a day so making both to try them out is reasonable to get you through the naming screen. Shadow dancer is a bit different from them since it's main gimmick is back stabs and plays like a grappler at time but she is really fun and some of the animations are really satisfying to watch
