Onions

Old games are good
New games are bad
Nintendo wins

Nintendo is like Valve. Once great, but now dying to superior companies that actually care about games and people who play them.

ah yes superior companies like Epic Games, EA and Ubisoft

BOTW is literally the most acclaimed game since 2005

Nothing with the Switch itself, the Wii U went wrong by being an unbelievable piece of fucking dogshit that nobody bought.

I own literally the entire Wii U library and the only games worth half a shit are NSMBU, Kirby Rainbow Curse, Mario Maker, and fucking Hyrule Warriors.

>a portable indie port machine that also plays Nintendo titles and a handful of AAA titles
Seems fine. What's the problem?

people actually kept paying for Old Ports, while newer games don't even sell well

Undeservedly. It's a great game, but the game of this decade is Bloodborne. But the Switch has gotten 3 amazing exclusives in a very short while (Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2, Smash).

This thread is shit. I’m taking over.
If the switch is a port machine as OP insinuates, then name 3 (THREE) games you want to see ported. Since ports go as far back as DOOM, if not further, nearly anything goes.
>XCOM EU/EW + XCOM 2
Pic related. If a fucking Iphone can run it, so can switch.
>Jurassic World Evolution
Personal choice, obv. not a very popular game. Since there seems to be enough demand to port cities skylines, then a zoo tycoon-esqe should be ideal.
>Bloodborne
Just to see Sonyfags seethe to death

Never played 2005. Was it a good game?

The only reason to buy a Nintendo console is to play Nintendo games.

>Bloodborne
Stopped reading there.
I don’t give a fuck about your opinions now nor ever

I feel like
>The switch is a port machine
being a bad thing is disengenuous.

If it was yet another black box under your TV, then yeah, lots of ports would suck.
But I can't take my PC on the bus, or my PS4 into my bedroom.

Portability justifies the ports.

>Wii/Wii U have to rely entirely on first and second party
>HAHAHAHA NO GAEMS NO GAEMS!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
>Switch has tons and tons of third party games
>HAHAHAHA PORT MACHINE PORT MACHINE!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Does valve even have game developers at the company any longer?

But Mario Maker 2, Ultimate Alliance 3, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses all just released within a month? And Astral chain is next month? I dont get this "port" argument

based

The ports all cost $60 despite looking like mud and running at half the framerate. Even if the original game dropped in price since then.

Someone has to make hats, right?

The first two years of the Switch's existence was like 90% Wii U ports
which again is fine because literally nobody bought a Wii U. The worst selling game in Sega's history was a Wii U game it was that bad.

Sustained
I’m surprised 2K hasn’t ported XCOM for easy bucks considering how well it runs on iPhone
Also
>GTA VC-SA & Bully
All of this shit runs of iPhone they could include a more physical triple pack of all 3 for 60$ and I’d buy it
>Literally All the SMT games HD
Just clean up the art work
SMT IV + Apocalypse HD for Switch would’ve been a slam dunk dunk

I got Bloodborne for free with PS+
I don’t understand the hype and I fucking hate all of you for making me think it was a masterpiece instead of a clunky piece of shit.
I’m just happy I didn’t buy this shit.

Y'all be laughing but the collector in me can finally get megaman X3 on cart without paying stupid amounts of money. Collection of Mana comes out at the end of August and it's still cheaper than a single copy of SoM on the SNES. Not only are ports and collections a great way for newer gamers to get into older titles, but it's also undermining the retro game market one title at a time. Checkmate athiests.

What game?

>paying for emulation

Yakuza 1+2 HD for WiiU
Sold like 5000 copies which is beyond miserable

Yakuza 1+2 HD Collection, released in Japan only
sold less than 20,000 copies over its entire lifetime since 2013 and probably didn't even sell enough in its first month to even chart.

SEETHE MORE SOIFRIENDO

Good choices.

Obsessed and Traumatised by the success of the Switch.

Why can't you cope?

Are you for real? It only matters because it's a new game for NINTENDO to make. The game itself has been being made for about 20 years now.

New Super Mario Bros. U sucks. #D World is a better game. What kind of a shit opinion do you have?

There are like 4 games worth giving a fuck exclusively on Switch. Still better than 2 games on PS4 but still not a reason to buy one while also paying for online and overpriced games.

This pic aged like milk

isn't that every console now?

Nintendo is still great as fuck, keep seething though
Nintendo and Platinum are single handedly carrying the game industry (for people with taste)

>doesn't like Switch
>doesn't like PS4
>doesn't even mention xbone (lol)

Why exactly are you here again?

Can you look at the posts in this thread and, in all sincerity, tell me that he's out of place in his beliefs?

fucker got colored joycons instead of grey ones

Its a port machine that doesnt get ports worth giving a fuck about. Metroid Prime Trilogy, Super Mario Sunshine and gamecube games in general would make it good.

>doesn't like video games
>that's' why he's here

oh thanks. Now I get it.

you are delusional

>video games are only on current-gen consoles

The Wii had tons of third party support

AA gaming got its throat slit last gen.

Nothing, it's working as intended and I ain't buying it.
All is good in the world

that's a pretty bait you got there
it would be a shame if anyone... bit.

you're twisting up the original intent of the posts, you're doing it in bad faith, and you look absolutely stupid doing it

They're working on an AI to make hats so they can fire the rest of their artists

He's right you know. It's comfier to game on the switch than on PC, so as long as the game runs smoothly I'm going to play the switch version. That makes it a great console because 90% AAA games these days are shit, most AA games worth playing are Japanese and they usually get switch ports, and indie games will run smoothly on any potato so the switch is a fantastic choice for those as well. On top of that you got some great first party titles like BotW, Odyssey, Splatoon, Smash, etc.

PS this is coming from a guy who hasn't0 owned a nintendo console since the Gamecube. It just can't be denied that the switch is fantastic.

>It's comfier to game on the switch than on PC
How? Nothing's stopping you from plugging your computer to a TV.

>have to run a cable across the living room
>have to buy a wireless keyboard and mouse
>have to set this up every time I want to game on the couch and put it away again when I'm done every time because otherwise it's a mess and in the way

Or I can just press one button on my switch controller and be good to go. Also, the switch works as a handheld as well. I played through all of hollow knight and other indies in handheld mode, laying down on either my couch or my bed. That kind of comfy can't be competed with.

No relevant releases in a year... it's literally a vita with broken controllers built in, but, you know, japs and weebs would literally pay 60$ for cardboard if it has the Nintendo logo on it over modern video games.

the switch is not a port machine
if it was a port machine you wouldn't need a paper clip to play a proper version of DooM and paid online wouldn't be mandatory because you would be able to host dedicated servers
