Doing a Nightmare playthrough of 2016. Was pretty rough when all I had was a nonmodded shotgun and pistol. I actually played Doom 1 and Escape From Tarkov more recently than 2016 or DFO, but those don't run through Steam.

You also need to keep a good life hygiene. I've experienced it myself, it's a slippery slope if you aren't careful about stuff like keeping a good sleep schedule, doing stuff other than staying on the computer (even simply for stuff like eye strain) etc.
