I don't know what these people are saying about "asian players". The majority of fighting game players from Asia are japanese and korean, all of which have less of a player pool than North Americans. They are making it look like China is sending hundreds of players to international tourneys

MK11 is not a fighting game, it's a party game like Smash. It's just a character dress up sim at its core.

I mean it still sold well, MK's focused less on competitive gaming and more on having fun, gory flashy attacks and alot of extra content.

MK9 was at what, 3 EVOs in a row? Tourneys were running up to MK10 release, despite Kabal & Cyrax cancer. It still was a great game and hype as fuck to watch.
Screenshot this, MK11 won't even be at the next year's EVO, except if Boon pays for this piece of shit so Sonic "I'm Gay" Fox could beat another single entrant and take the prize.

Sonic Fag is half the reason NRS games are so boring to watch. He's really really good at doing huge combos, but he can't get the combos to actually land unless he forces the opponent to play a guessing game with him. Hence why he plays every game for like a month or two, does well and everyone fears he'll ruin it just like MK, then his results start falling and he goes back to NRS. Because in good fighting games, you can't force your opponent to play guessing games unless you already have a sizable advantage or the other player doesn't know what he's doing. In NRS games, you can, so Sonicfox does well there and in new games when people don't know the counterplay to his bullshit yet.
