I still play but I'm mostly collecting the frames and waiting for the big expansions they're planning. I'm hoping Railjack becomes the norm for space missions.

Climbed to the top of the grindwall and realized theres nothing on the other side

They kept killing everything including my framefu's worth in stealth. On top of that it's just boring when even the action grinding gets dull. 1k hours in and I quit around the time eidolon was announced. I've come back a couple times and never last more than a day or 2.

It's only fun until you realize all the melee weapons are the same, the combat rework is bad, and they don't pretend to care about balance

The grind didn't feel interesting. Most missions boiled down to shooting through tissue paper enemies. Not to mention when I quit the only hope of getting useful shit was by farming the wave defense missions and quitting after wave 5.

Got annoying when everything started having fuckloads of armor that made all my weapons feel like nerf guns. Also couldn't figure out orokin principle shit to finish the star chart. Fun game but I can only take so much bullshit.

Last I looked at warframe it was just a grinding simulator/looter-shooter with nothing interesting going on.

I don't want to just grind up a character to grind up a character, and for sex appeal and fashion I have secondlife.

Warframe reminds me a lot of Elite Dangerous in the way the game mechanics look incredibly dull and you just play to upgrade in the hopes of having more fun with the upgrade.

Played a few hundred hours. Quit when Fortuna dropped. Big and empty, bounties with the factions sucked and I couldn't bear to grind them.

I loved Plains, Eidolons were fresh for a while, fishing was a nice touch. Fortuna blows, it's big and empty.

Mods and arcanes. I know the game has changed a lot over the years since beta when I started but I remember guns being king in the early game and Warframe abilities taking a back seat until you can get properly loaded out. They are still useful early in but you can't fully rely on them like you can in late game. Saryj is God tore because she can massacre large rooms of enemies with ease and very often.

Trust me, they managed to make it retard, because, that is how DE works, they are idea guys that can't execute a single idea competently.

Rhino is definitely a good early game pick, as long as you can keep popping Iron Skin you're unstoppable and you can just let your guns do the work. I'd say damage frames overall require focused builds to really make them shine. Tanky builds are always god-like.

I played off and on since the closed beta but I officially "stopped" when Plains of Eidolon came out. I didn't like the aimless open world gameplay and the insane grind just to get anything done. I tried a few bounties and it was pure boredom running 700m+ between objectives. And there's no way in hell I'm playing a video game just to be forced to do chores like fishing and mining.

Since then I haven't seen anything that would bring me back. They've added, what, 30 minutes of story content in two years? Another open world to not have fun in? Guns and frames I'll have to pray for catalyst/reactor bounties to make usable? Who gives a shit?

I actually did reinstall for Nightwave, took one look at how much grind was required to get anything cool and instantly uninstalled.

Warframe is basically a mechanically interesting Cookie Clicker. I like the combat and I like watching my numbers go up. Warframe requires you to have self made goals to enjoy it. When I run out of things I want to do I take a break.

I haven't stopped, but I'll fully admit I'm starting to get frustrated with it. F U C K arbitrations, whoever thought "hey, let's make a game mode where they can waste 30 minutes plus to get nothing but low-tier ayatan sculptures and small amounts of endo!" deserves a baseball bat to the nuts.

I love the setting and aesthetic and the gameplay is conceptually enjoyable enough, but I just got tired of doing the same routine every time I played. Haven't played since shortly after Zephyr Prime first released and haven't felt a desire to play since.

Weapons are effectively the new content in the game, do you think they're gonna let you get one for nothing? Also, once you get a good weapon early on(of which there are many,) you can just use that one while you craft the new one.

I had literally just started and found out what I was doing would be all I would be doing for the next 5000 hours of this game, so I tried pvp. In my first pvp game there was like 4 people, everyone left a quarter of the way into the game and the game didnt even end, it was just me alone for like 10 min before I just left and quit the game forever.

I got bored after finishing the star map. There's nothing to do aside from grinding more gear to stomp things even more than you already do by that point and play dress up.

Because every time I take a break and come back they change a lot and the thought of having to relearn everything is overwhelming. Last time I played was when they added the Plains of Eidolon. Did they ever make weapons 3.0? Like every weapon used the same combination of mods and it was boring. Multishot, serration, elementals etc.etc.

I managed to solo Uranus but the game decided a maxed out frame / weapons did almost zero damage to enemies so I left, never to return.

A combination of things I suppose.
The first annoyance I remember was adding that retarded player spaceship, which really didn't add anything other than make it more annoying to select where you wanted to go, and manage your items. It was stylish, sure, but it just added an unnecessary physical element to the menus.
The next one was realizing that any amount of grinding I did would never be enough, if I ground up a good weapon, it would be nerfed or powercrept in a month. And similarly that they would remove any even remotely efficient method of grinding, making the problem even worse.
Finally they removed coptering. I don't care if it was buggy and stupid looking, it made the game FUN. Going fast was fun, going slow was miserable. It really says something that the most fun way to play the game was to skip past half of it, I suppose. The only compensation we got was some retarded "bullet jump" which honestly made me feel slower than just running. To me this was the last straw, when the game developer thinks they know what fun is more than their players, and do something that directly conflicts with my ability to have fun, I'm gone. To me this is like if they removed skiing from tribes, or rocket jumping from quake. It was a bug, sure, but it made the game more fun, and a GOOD game developer would lean into that emergent gameplay instead of stifling it.
And so I quit, and I haven't reinstalled since.

Lotus was a mimic sentient, she copied the tenno's actual mother figure (Margulis) so well that she started having legit feelings for them coupled with the fact she's literally barren due to the galaxy travel process, which is why she didnt murder all the kids after having them genocide the orokin and instead put them all to sleep.
Ballas was the lover of margulis and had a major hand in creating the sentients before they turned on the orokin.
Ballas defected to the sentients and exposed the tenno secret (That being remote controlled flesh golems) which led to Lotus using the kids as genocide machines, and he also helped create a fuck ton of the frames themselves through experiments.
Lotus 'betrayed' him by giving him sentient parts after we helped Excal umbra get his stab on, which she likely did to save his life.
He's a vain motherfucker and would rather have died than be morphed into a monster.

Normally I would go back to it every couple of months, but It's been over a year now and I can't do it. I haven't even done that one lotus missing mission yet.

the galaxy map really puts me off. I could rush through it, but it's mostly boring. The stupid challenges to do to get to the next world can be a hassle.

But I'm still interested in it. I just haven't found a frame that I really like. I really enjoyed Excalibur because all of his abilities are offensive and immediate.

I picked Revenant because he looks sick, but dont' really enjoy his playstyle. What other frames have fun abilities that wreck everything?

Personal note; I fap more to this game than playing it, and I got over 1000 hours on it.

Well... At first I liked it. It was a "free to play" MMO. I was betrayed by Guild Wars 2 back in the day, and it took courage to build before trying any MMO again.

I first played some months ago. Maybe February or March. Since then, 400+ hours. However, I quickly realized how slow progression was. Platinum is needed to rank Mastery, which is needed for more content, especially late game stuff. Ranking up and earning anything takes way too much time. Even if you get all the stuff to build a new Warframe, you have 12 hours for the parts and 3 days for the complete frame.

Then, it gets worse. Platinum is needed for extra item and warframe slots. Some people will buy Platinum for such, and have extra left over, so you try to trade for them. Considering the luck involved in acquiring a sellable item or set, it will take time, lots of time to get enough platinum. 8 hour shifts each day are too much for any game and not worth it.

However, the breaking point was not the above. No, the breaking point was when I watched the tennocon stream. Aside from the fact that this was a blatant way to force players to join Twitch in a crosspromotion, I was able to see the "devs" for the first time. I never saw a bigger pile of marketing bullcrap. That is when I stopped playing a couple weeks ago.
