How the fuck do you move shelves? I stumbled into a room where there were some stuff hidden behind some shelves and somehow managed to crouch jump over them, but now I can't get back out

I fucking love it, just wish I had more time to have comfy sessions.
Started playing when magic was not ingame and now I'm keeping my nonmagic knight while monsters can cast all manner of shit on me. Makes exploration all the more tense.

I fucked up.

It has? Last I heard it was barely along in development.
How stable is it?

Basically already released, from now only bugfixes until 1.0 release.

Suppose it can't be any less stable than your average Bethesda release, guess I'll grab it later and give it a go. Daggerfall's always been on the to-do list.

What are the recommended graphics mods? The ones that add distant terrain and mountains/hills seem pretty good. Anything else?

What does the retro rending resolutions actually do? I've switched between them and desu I can't really tell the difference

I think I can see where he's coming from. Personally I'd rather both sets of text be a jaggy mess or smooth, rather than one and the other.

Looks good in that screenshot. Imo best way to do it woulda been to increase the resolution of both fonts, but still have a bit of upscaling to maintain aesthetic.

It's pretty good but the quests are absolute shit. Some of them are bugged and just don't work, the NPCs required don't spawn. And even the ones that aren't bugged are terrible, with enemies spawning randomly, silently, behind you. Even inside inns. To the point where it is impossible to rest because thieves/daedra/etc will spawn without fail, and you just get an unfixable Game Over because you can't regen stamina.

Also the wilderness is underwhelming. I installed a mod that adds "faster" normal travel so I can actually see the distance I'm traveling in the overworld, but even with that it just feels pointless. The world is massive but it's also a giant void. It's like a space game where the planets are villages.

The char creations makes me weep for the new games though, it really puts Skyrim to shame.

Last time I tried it, the controls were fucking garbage. I couldn't even leave the first dungeon.
Did it get better? How could I go about playing it on Linux nowadays?

I remember in some Pornhub video a bunch of commenters were arguing about Vivec. Suddenly one guy said "Vivec did nothing wrong" and then everyone else kept replying to him but he wouldn't reply back. Another guy came in and said that he was right, because Vivec =/= Vehk, and then proceeds to explain how.

Just to say though, fuck Vivec for letting that rock stay there after Nerevar came back and fucked everyone in the ass.

Are quests still broken?
I got framed for a burglary and exiled from Daggerfall. I got a noted saying pointing me towards the real thief and i've found where he SHOULD be, but the NPC doesn't seem to be here. NPCs are telling me he's within the building, but he's not here.

I tried to make not meme build and easy killed every single guy.
As for no kill run, it was my first one.

Yeah, I just played on the latest build and this happened several times. One time I think it may have been because two quests tried spawning in the same building.

I just tried to do the curing a cousin quest, and I've got the talisman and then the quest ended. No quest test about if the cousin died or not, it just got moved to finished quests.

Gotta be around here somewhere.

You can check the roadmap, but it's bugfixing, QoL additions, extended support for mods and tweak physics to be 1:1 with Daggerfall. It's already superior to vanilla game, think in DFU like in GZDoom: it's for improve the actual experiencie.

Probably took too long, nigga. If you're resting a lot in a dungeon days can pass, and that's not counting travel time there (and back if you didn't Recall)

Yes, it's a broken piece of shit game and I don't get why people have nostalgia for it.

Zoom Zoom's expect to be able to fight and win against everything they come into contact with; the idea of avoiding combat you can't win is completely alien to them.

That'd be fine and all, if there's a reason to return to that dungeon when you're stronger. But the game has randomly generated dungeons and none of what's inside matters.

I have the same issue with a quest from the mages guild right now.
I dont think its the time limit
