Switch's Best Selling Titles

Nintendo released its latest numbers. It's about what you'd expect, with the big flagships in a predictable position.

>1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 17.89 million
>2. Super Mario Odyssey – 14.94 million
>3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 14.73 million
>4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 13.61 million
>5. Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! – 10.98 million
>6. Splatoon 2 – 9.02 million
>7. Super Mario Party – 6.99 million
>8. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 4.10 million
>9. 1-2 Switch – 3.01 million
>10. Mario Tennis Aces – 2.75 million

Isn't that just all the switch titles?

no

Did Tropical Freeze just cap out at over 2 million? I'm genuinely surprised Mario Tennis is beating it.

For posterity's sake, Super Mario Maker 2 sold 2.4 million by the time these numbers were settled (seemingly the end of June), so it probably will knock off Aces by the time this list is next updated.

Breath of the Wild is at over 15 millions if you add the Wii U version.

>1-2 Switch and NSMBU in the fucking list at all
>a port as the best selling game
Disgusting. List has two of the best actual Switch exclusives, Smash and Splatoon 2, but it is missing Xenoblade 2

NSMBU is peak unpretentious 2D bing bing wahoo. Sure, the aesthetic and music is tired as fuck but the actual levels are top-tier and you get NSLU in the package too.

I grew out of Mario,Pokemon, and Zelda 10 years ago

B-but,
PORTS BAD >:^(

It's fucking shit, you faggot. Not to mention it supports Nintendo's jew practices of charging $60 for a fucking port. Digusting people eat that shit up, especially with Mario Kart.

A lot of people have already played it years ago

At least 2/3 of the Switch's install base did not own a Wii U. Of course Wii U ports are doing well on the system.

You should probably stop playing video games then.

is there another developper that has so many 15 million sellers? that's insane

There are more video games than Nintendo games. Oh wait Nintendo dick suckers aren't used to games other than Nintendo shit,

Attached: 1524366935590.jpg (1080x1349, 82K)

I doubt that's a meaningful deterrent considering the Switch port very rapidly outsold the lifetime sales of the original Wii U version.

EA and FIFA/Madden

I didn't own them, and won't out of principle. I would rather die than pay Nintendo $60 for their old shit.

>COPING this hard
LOL, snoyfags never change.

Yes, but you'll never be as mature as you want to seem aslong as you keep playing with toys like video games.

Generic anime porn game is trash

>smash is quickly approaching the 2nd best selling switch game in less than a year

Just pirate them then, they're good games and you should play them.

>4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 13.61 million
Please god stop buying this game it's fucking awful
I hope astral chain and Mario and sonic at the Olympic games knock it down a few notches.

I wonder if its the best selling single release of a fighting game yet.

I completely forgot about that
>tfw a Zelda game might actually outsell the new Pokémon games

>this list once Animal Crossing and Pokemon Sword and Board drop

Attached: 1560608014950.jpg (787x787, 49K)

>astral chain
Nier Automata, which is a multi-plat that got tons of accolades has sold less than 1/3 of what Zelda has, I highly doubt Astral Chain is going to even make a dent. It's still my #2 most anticipated game of this year though

I'm sure your favorite egirl thinks you're a really special boy user, really cool

don't forget to tell her you don't play nintendo games next time you donate half your salary to her

Rent free. Mario games are either really good with tons replay value or new ideas (Mario Maker, Odyssey) or the same old shit you have played since the N64, but sometimes they fuck up the formula (NSMB, Mario Party, Tennis, Kart). Pokemon is the most shit, and braindead RPG series, to the point where the challenge has to be self-imposed by the player. Zelda comes out once, twice maybe every gen, so some games are neglible. Never played SS and don't plan to.
>if you play vidya you are a manchild
>if you entertain yourself with anything you enjoy you are a manchild
t. Hasn't played it.

Luigi's Mansion will easily end up on there too. Dark Moon on 3DS sold almost 6 million.

Oh and animal crossing, forgot about that one.

I'm surprised there wasn't a thread about this earlier, when did they release this?

There was, it's data from today.

When you get down to it, quality is more important than quantity for consumers.

Attached: 1563838372443.png (2427x1472, 3.37M)

It's barely tens of thousands less than 4 3DS/Wii U, and that one's a combined number, 14.85, around 2/3rds 3DS, 1/3rd Wii U sales, and Ultimate exceeds both of those individually and Brawl.
It'll probably have passed it by now since these don't count the entire month of July, and definitely by next quarter if it keeps pace.

As far as individual releases go, yeah, I'd say it's the best selling single fighting game.

Obviously, the only dragon left to slay in terms of raw numbers is Street Fighter 2, and that's only counting literally every fucking version of it, cabinet sales, and every port. That's at roughly 15-6 million. Add 5 million if you want to include the 5 million SNES Classic Minis. Once Smash Ultimate is either at 17 million or passes the 20 million mark I'd say it's pretty unambiguous that it takes the crown for best selling fighting game.

>Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! – 10.98 million

Attached: I accept this too.jpg (500x427, 95K)

But are you ready for 18 millions on Sword and Shield?

Prediction time
>Fire Emblem Three Houses - ~3m
>Astral Chain - ~2m
>Link's Awakening - ~3.5m
>Daemon x Machina - ~1m
>Dragon Quest IX - ~2.5m
>Luigi's Mansion 3 - ~6.5m
>Pokémon Sword & Shield - ~14m

Both 1-2 Switch and Mario Tennis will be knocked off by the next update. MM2 and Fire Emblem are selling like hot cakes.

That's weird because there are other systems that sold better and also have a higher quantity of quality games...

Fire Emblem will sell well but I doubt we'll see a massive jump from Awakening and Fates's, if it does surpass those at all.
Beyond that, the Top 10 will shift a bit once you see Pokemon enter the fray, and Mario Maker 2 numbers actually show up.

Skyward Sword isn’t that bad, but you should play it if an HD rerelease ever comes out that stops Fi from holding your hand all the time

When will you fuck off with your garbage chart?

>Mario
>Mario
>Smash
>Zelda
>Pokemon
>Splatoon
>Mario
>Mario
>Waggleshit
>Mario
Why does Nintendo's lineup always look so homogeneous and boring?
Why do Nintendofans always eat up the same rehashes for DECADES?

You're just begging for someone to post the PS4 listing that's 80% FIFA

>Splatoon 2 at 9 million
B-but it's supposed to be dead!

>FIFA
>FIFA
>GTA
>Call of Duty
>FIFA
Why does Sony's lineup always look so homogeneous and boring?
Why do Sonyfans always eat up the same rehashes for DECADES?

I predict similar, only Fire Emblem Three Houses will sell closer to 4 million and Pokmon SwSh 16+ million.

I think Luigi's Mansion 3 will see another huge increase over 2 like 2 saw over 1, it can do 8+.

Really disappointing to see LGPE with such high sales. Yeah yeah, I know it’s Pokémon, but it’s such a damn shame that Gamefreak is rewarded for their mediocrity every single time without fail. There’s so many better games out there for Switch.

LGPE are good remakes. Sword and Shield selling more will be the real crime.

Their sales are actually pretty poor for Pokémon's standards in terms of actual number of copies sold (they dropped around 3 million from ORAS and have the lowest remake sales since FRLG). The legs have also been horrendous, they've been stuck between 10 and 11 million copies for half a year now, which is unprecedented for this series.

how convenient you're comparing the characters and not the gameplay

>all first party games
and people wonder why the switch gets no 3rd party support.

It's a Nintendo fiscal report. There's not going to be any data on stuff that wasn't published by Nintendo.

you fucking moron

>they dropped around 3 million from ORAS and have the lowest remake sales since FRLG
The fuck, that's not how it works. You're comparing lifetime sales of previous remakes to less than eight months of LGPE. They will almost certainly surpass HGSS lifetime.

To be fair though, LGPE was the first time I've ever seen them try to downplay a Pokemon game by saying, "Yeah it's meant to capitalize on Pokemon Go don't worry there'll be some real shit in 2019" in its announcement video.

>LGPE are good remakes

Attached: whatusay.png (364x336, 113K)

I know SwSh will sell a lot but it will still be one of the worst selling pokemon games, hopefully the worst

Attached: 1527903876457.png (368x557, 112K)

Of the sales figures we already have, it's outpacing both. Practically every nintendo franchise is getting their highest ever sales on Switch. FEH is also a mobile juggernaut that has done a ton of advertising for the franchise. The game has had a positive reception and comes at a moment where there haven't been many single player games for a while. There's a very good chance this becomes the best-selling FE game.

It's definitely not going to match the 3DS games. Anybody who thinks so is deluded.

Also don't forget Fire Emblem Warriors sold a million, which already puts it above most main entries in the series.

This. NSMBU is the best 2D Mario game since Super Mario World.

i'm so excited for LM3

why do you think its getting a direct sequel

Brainlet.

I was going to say this. I got it for the Wii U. BOTW 2 will be the true Switch Zelda.

I think a lot of people are, it's looking good.

>Splatoon 2 – 9.02 million
That's a lot more than I was expecting

WOOMY STRONG

I own it for the Wii U and didn't buy it for the Switch. I would guess nearly everyone like me did the same thing. I also didn't buy Mario Kart 8 for the same reason.

It probably will. It's doubtful SS will outsell LGPE, and LGPE seems to have stalled in the 10-11M range.

HGSS and ORAS had continuous sales throughout their lifespans. They didn't do what LGPE did where they hit 10.5M at once, then barely sold 500k over the next year.

Why do people like those games so much?

Normies love sports.
