I see very few advertisements for it, noone talks about classic here either. Infact, I don't even know the server names for the fucking game and its 1 month out. I don't even know how many servers there is going to be, or the server player caps.

Worst case, it flops but now private server communities have all the data they need to make even better blizzlike servers.

It seems that Blizzard doesn't give the Classic team the budget it needs while the team itself tries it's hardest to deliver. I will play it anyway for at least leveling period, after that it all depends on how smooth the game is.

There was a post on here from a disgruntled blizz employee. If it's to be believed, there's a lot of jealousy at Blizzard toward the Classic team. The company makes most of it's employee's lives miserable while the Classic team gets to work on a project which legitimately makes them happy. Add to that, there's an air that if Classic is successful, it will shift the direction for the 10.0 expansion for WoW, reverting a lot of the "improvements" that others have made.

I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of marketing is a push from Activision in hopes that classic fails because it has no cash shop and isn't monetizable outside of a subscription.

Im going to give this game a chance, ive leveled 2 60 warlocks and 1 60 warrior on private servers so I know exactly how to make lots of gold on this game and Id like to think I can handle Tier 2.5 AQ40. I just have a weird feeling going into this. its not what I felt when the game launched, Im worried to be honest.

This is honestly very few people in America, when I made $12/hr I cleared about $1300 bucks a month living in commiefornia. My rent was $600 and my utilities were often $100 as well. I played wow and still put a few hundred bucks in the savings account after everything like food and necessities were paid for, even went out to eat once a week.

I'm entirely useless in a 1v1 scenario and prefer do be basically doing nothing in the middle of everything and getting carried than winning the game myself. What class should I play?

I started playing WoW back in 2007, shortly after BC release, so the game was still pretty much vanilla playing trough the old world. After 12 years though, games have evolved. Game design and mechanics have grown up, developers gained experience, engines got better. I dont say retail is a good game, it has its own flaws and I dont play it but vanilla is just outdated. If you dont mind and like retro, then go play it.

Btw, at its release WoW was the game that made MMOs casual friendly and for the first time appealing to the masses, heck its success. The game never was intended to be harcore and never was. Blizz just continued their process of making MMOs as casual friendly as possible (the hardcore playerbase is small=less players=less money) over the years but eventually reached a point where they went overboad with it and just fucked up the whole game.

No, but Classic is a godsend for poorer players with shit PC's though. I remember a few of my friends quit in Legion because without an SSD Dalaran took over a minute to load, and even in BfA the load times into the new arenas left you with 5 seconds of prep if you had a shit PC. I think people underestimate how many poorfags there are with shit PC's who just want a MMO that they can run efficiently, their only option is OSRS at the moment

What kind of massive budget would you even need to boot up a 15 year old game with supposedly zero changes?

Yep it came out in '85 so it's pretty old now. Great film, watched it recently. Next Gen didn't even start till '87

will run on the current engine though so I wonder if its vanilla settings will run as smooth as 1.12 client on an old PC.
