Ehhh, that's probably the ONLY thing Rockstar got right with RDR2. Hunting is still as fun as it was in RDR1. The amount of times I'm riding to a mission and get sidetracked because I see a bunch of deer or rabbit or a fox and have to get that kill is ridiculous.

Eh, I prefer the skinning animation from 1 than 2, especially the sound effect of you slamming your knife into them. I also prefer 1 just because I can skill and skin horses. Also what's the fucking deal with killing horses in 2? No matter what, you get negative fucking honor for killing them, even if there's an enemy on one gunning for your ass...doesn't make any sense and you can't even skin them either. But all of these are false when talking about San Andreas. I do thing faggots are memeing when they say Vice City is better because from objective standpoint that isn't true. And from a subjective standpoint it's most certainly not true. IMO, the only GTA that V beats is 3 and that's just because the gameplay is so horrendous that it's literally unplayable now. Radio and aesthetics isn't an argument for saying Vice City is best either. V from a technical standpoint is a good game, but it has no soul and the story is shit. The missions are all forgettable and there's literally no exploring to be done whatsoever in GTA V. They added animals but you almost never see any animals at all and I've played through the game at least 3 times on PS3 and like 2-3 times on PS4. The characters are shit. I don't really care about any of them besides maybe Franklin and that's only because I'm black and was raised in the ghetto as well. Splitting up the protagonists into 3 when the whole game is basically about Michael anyway just seemed pointless. It's literally about him trying to return to his former glory while trying to balance his "work life" with his retarded ass annoying unappreciative family. The story would've been a bit more cohesive and enjoyable if it was just Michael and Franklin/Trevor were just support characters you did missions with/for like Ryder/Sweet/Big Smoke. I don't even have enough characters left to explain why SA and IV was miles better than V, but trust me when I say V doesn't come anywhere near close to SA, IV or the story and characters of GTA 3.

As someone born and raised in NYC, I did find that very fucking weird. The city is always dark and "rainy". I can't ever recall there being any sunshine or bright days for some reason. I know the story is darker than other GTA stories but even then it just doesn't make sense. Even during winter the city doesn't look anything like that.

Boomer Billy here to say that the originally PS2 trilogy was my favorite. Going back and replaying those the world they built was fantastic, and the games were filled with so much stuff they wouldn’t have the balls to do today. For the sake of characters, story, and just overall enjoyment, I still replay those and don’t really touch 4 or 5. Sadly for boomers, I think Rockstar is DOA from here on out after RDR2.

The last heist is pretty fun and going through it a second time you see why they did the missions as they did, there's this real feeling of making the missions feel integrated into the overworld in an attempt to compel you to spend time fucking around between missions. I guess I play differently. In Red Dead I keep my funds low as possible. Im on ch.4 in my 2nd playthrough and I have $40. I hunt and cook my own food and sell the pelts for some extra cash for ammo etc.
